@Fabricio H relax. its a youtube comment section not an english exam. and if you wanna comment on spelling get ur own spelling of 'wierd' right first. the irony.
@@Simon_Sez They kill each other for over priced iPhones. You blaming Steve Jobs and Apple for that? Poor people rob and kill each other over expensive shit all the time, always have.
Joe has no interest in basketball. MJ has his hands in many other buckets, so maybe he can definitely talk about more things than just basketball, but idk if joe would know what to talk about with him. Golf? Gambling?
It’s anger, you have to have some sort of anger. You have to want to win so bad that if you don’t win it breaks your heart. You won’t be elite without it. Pain is temporary as long as you give it your all in life.
This comment changed my life a year ago when I saw it. I made a radical change in my life to get into engineering school & my peers asked “dude how did you do it??” I give them this comment
I don't see why they would need to, unless someone calls in or they watch a video and don't want to play audio on speakers that the mics would pick back up.
@@Brianpeckin Shaq was extremely lazy, he used to not show up for practice because 'he steps up at games' he let himself go 20+ pounds every off-season, he even got injured and decided to treat it after the post season because he didn't wanna ruin his vacation. Still was one of the greatest people to ever lace then up
Rogan is usually spot on about most things and he really knows his human physiological stuff but if you need big calves to jump then half the NBA wouldn’t be dunking. I’ve played with plenty of elite level players that have no legs and jump out the got damn gym.
@@robhughes8198 It's funny because skinny calves = naturally better for explosive jumping movements. The calf starts higher up, therefore they have bigger achilles leading to better natural explosive power
It's only that vital because of the sheer lack of physical specimens that fit the role. Linemen are on the top end of the bell curve in terms of rarity in their body structure.
@@edubbs9853 Id say he was pretty damn close. The numbers are there. The results are there. Jordan even admitted that Kobe "stole" all his moves. What would've brought him closer?
These guys are wrong about Jordan..... Michael had a clause in his contract called the "love of the game" clause which allowed him to play basketball at any time. Pickup games during the offseason, he could play whenever he wanted because of his pure love of hoops. In his hall of fame speech he thanked countless people that helped him on his journey. Big fan of Joe Rogan but he was wrong on this subject and so was his guest. Fact
Not saying he is right or wrong but "love of the game" could mean exactly what they were talking about. He loves it because of the outcomes he can get from it.
My friend was super active and able to do things that blew my mind he used to eat junk food and fatty food thinking he will just work it off All this fatty food was building up in his arteries and caused a heart attack He was never the same again
I think that people who say greatness isn't worth it because they end up miserable are actually filled with doubts about whether they can even achieve greatness in the first place
I think that’s why Tom Brady is so good. He says football is his first love (so he obviously doesn’t hate it). He has a chip on his shoulder from being over looked. He doesn’t think he sucks and needs to win to prove to himself he’s good. He just holds himself to the standard that winning is the only option. He knows he’s great. No one prepares like the greats if they don’t love what they’re doing.
He is completely right, to get that level of "greatness" you have to make yourself miserable over it, to the point that life (the thing that people think you have achieved greatness in) is not even enjoyable anymore because you are constantly proving and competing and trying to keep being "great" at.... if you are too young and dumb you are just not going to understand this
I think that achieving "greatness" and living in misery, I don't think that's worth it." Amen to that. I finally figured that out after I couldn't push past the top 1% in a game I was trying to become a coach in. Eventually the game was making me more miserable than anything, and wins weren't even enjoyable anymore. That "greatness" and fame I wanted from it just wasn't worth it anymore man... I'm much happier now not even touching the ranks these days.
It's always about who loves it more. And love isn't a mindset, it's an action. It's the effort and care mixed with the true passion of sticking with something and embracing it
@Aidan Tsukiyama I was a linebacker also, and nothing sucked more than having to get past a guy who was 100lbs bigger than I was. Those O-line guys are easily the most powerful guys on the field. No joke.
There's a fine line between winning and losing. The same with the attitude that comes with it. It's really not amazing to have a winning mentality, it's as natural as anything else.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BEzc5hlAIbU.html This video explains it well, like Bowerman said “the real purpose of running isn’t to win a race, it’s to test the limits of the human heart” and Bowermans right through learning from Pre.
MJ hit .202 with a .556 OPS. 3 HR and 30 steals in 436 at bats. Still pretty good for his 1st year in the minors after not playing for a 10 plus years.
the feeling of proving that you could overcome what ever obstacle was in your way, filled with the doubt of people around you, is like a literal fucking drug.
Andrew on stage is amazing, last comedian i listened to that made my cry out of laughter. As a talking guest, not so much, kudos to Joe for bringing him though.
I'm a big entitled fan dropping off my personal wish list for guests: MAX KELLERMAN - boxing/mma/fight business MARK RIPPETOE - fitness models, performance training You're my Oprah
QB is the single most important position in football period. It's not even a discussion. Coaches/owners don't plan the future of their franchise on a DT or LB
Long time fan Joe...mindset of winners! Very interesting, based on recent scandals of college tuition. I am a Ugandan immigrant from 1982, currently Canadian citizen. Interesting reality when you don’t grow up in a culture, you are just trying to figure out how far you are behind. In recent developments of the the tuition scandal, I didn’t even think that could be possible...in 82 I was almost 10yrs old, turning 47 this yr. There have been countless examples of platforms I may never have had the opportunity to develop a winners mind, based on various language adjustments, etc! Just because you might be willing to challenge the adjusting, does not mean people are willing to give you the rub to succeed.
Brady's an elite athlete, an athlete is someone that takes there god given talent and takes it as far as they can go, no one has been given so less and gone so far.
A book by Wright Thompson suggests that Jordan's competitiveness stems from his childhood belief that his dad loved his brother more than him. Something deep like that would make sense because Jordan is so psychotically competitive you could probably say he has a problem. Like a competitive disorder.
I feel bad for them, they would never know how tough it was for the Batsmen in cricket to hit it at 100MPH without helmets. Malcolm Marshall, Michael Holding and the greats of west indies.
Joe wants to keep them down there to study their athletic ability while massaging an erection. Eventually he wants to switch his brain like get out so he can fulfill his dream of being UFC champ.
black guy With a name like that, I’d get well clear of these comments. Before Joe starts running tests on your lactic acid build up, or your quick twitch reflex muscles. He’ll make you run his ninja warrior course under his mansion to test your reaction times and upper body strength while simultaneously measuring your bone density. He trying to make a Frankenstein out of parts of the strongest black men, so he can eventually smash Jon Jones.
when Rogan and his guest are looking at a picture on the internet or a video, it should also appear in the corner on screen for us to see, always , then it would be perfect
All the champions I know fear losing more than they want to win. It's as if they're going to die if they don't win. Therefore, winning becomes a collateral benefit of not losing
I've done lots of training with army special forces. And you'd be amazed at how functional their strength and endurance is. They can do just about anything workout I can dream up and many of them have Tom Bradyish bodies. You'd never pick them out in a crowd. It is my opinion that unless you have a genetically perfect body, unless you really focus on nutrition you can't get that dream body just by being super fit.
@@The_Essential_Review you don't have to believe anything. I'm just saying I was fortunate enough to have spent time training along side them. The point was that even though they are physically "super fit" they don't all have six pack and and don't look like bodybuilders or anything like that.
I think a misleading thing about special forces is that people attribute it to training, but it's just as much selection. Their selection process weeds out insufficient hardiness, which has both psychological, endurance and strength components. Then you have hard people, who can handle hard training, but the magic happens in the people themselves pushing themselves against others. Other people wouldn't be able to get the same effects from the training.
In my opinion there is no such a thing like a winner mindset. There is an healthy or a weak mindset. In my environment there is at least 95% of people I know that have a weak mindset. It translates by complaining about a situation they are not ready to change or being jealous and hateful towards good people that succeeded in life. If you have an healthy mindset you will always give your best and you maybe still lose, but because of your mindset you are going to stand up and change things to succeed. By the way it is hard to have an healthy mindset if you are intoxicating your body on a daily base with drugs, alcool, anti-depressions…..etc.
I thought Andrew was spot on with the I am not good enough but this is an unconscious program. Joe was spot on with constant confirmation that he was the best. Same thing. Found it interesting in the assessment of not finding joy through the process but only outcomes. Jordan says today he wishes he was playing. But playing for the process or to confirm...
