Joe's Crab Shack Vs Red Lobster: The Winner Is Clear

Both are mediocre seafood restaurants but the cheddar bay biscuits give Red Lobster the edge for me.

I agree!!! Joes Crab Shack! I do agree with Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits being the best!

Been to both and prefer Joe's. The entrees appear fresher and like the seafood boils. Red Lobster biscuits are good.

Once ate at Joe’s in Ohio in 2005, and was excellent, but that location closed a few years later. Perhaps they couldn’t keep up with costs.

Is the restaurant clean ?. How is the service ?. Is the food fresh or frozen ?. We don't pick a restaurant based on the name but the previous items.

The big question is freshness, items that come in premade, and what is actually made from atart to finish. I worked for Red Lobster, and you will be shocked on how much stuff is shipped in and not assembled and made fresh. Not even the pasta is made fresh that day. You are always getting day old pasta if not more than one day old. Most items are microwaved, including crab legs

I didn't know Joes was still in business. They shuttered in my neighborhood at keast 15 yeaRs AGO.. Im an RL guy.

We had a Joe's in the area, you walked in and the smell of ammonia was in the air. Sat down and after 15 minutes of no server coming to the table, got up and left. They are now closed.

Joes here was so bad that they closed up 7 years ago. Red lobsters frozen , never fresh anything has run them out of business here. Only one s left are mom & pops who actually care about their customers.

I don't like crab boils where it's all mixed with corn etc. Went to Joe's crab shack couple times near Ventura. It went out of business. Makes sense to me. Red lobster all the way

After paying affordable prices for seafood in the 1950's, 1960's and 70's, I cannot force myself to squander my hard earned money on the ridiculous prices that are being charge for anything that comes out of the ocean. Whole clams were plentiful and cheap around the fish piers and even in retail clam shacks. But now the world has caught on why we people in the U. S. A. loved to eat things like fried clams in clam rolls, steamed clams and stuffed clams. Social Security doesn't give you extra money to pay for luxuries like sea- food...Oh well, I ate more than my share when everyone could afford eating seafood 2 times a week. If you are affluent, you have no Compassion for the poor guy.

Never heard of Red Lobster or Joe's Crabshack.

It’s not what I consider a seafood restraunt. Maybe an upper class version of long John silver .For my taste, it ain’t fit for a dog to eat. If I am paying that price it will be a real seafood house not a chain. The biscuits are good but not good enough for me to drop a 100 bucks for din din .
