Yeah Man Fitzpatrick Lake Is A Little BIT Awnery At Times. Especially If They Don't Stock It Enough. But From My Experience Fishing It For 5 Or 6 Years Now, That Culvert Pipe & The Overflow At The Other End Is Where I Catch Something Every Single Time I Fish Out There. I'm Standing On A Culvert & Basically Making Long Casts & Slowly Retrieving The Spinner With A 7 Ft Rod Almost Straight Up. Kinda Like Trolling, With That Current Flowing Through The Culvert, I Can Basically Hold It In Specific Spot In the Current Seam. When I Want It to Work Deeper, I Kill It & Let It Sink. But Generally I'll Slow Roll My Joe Flies As Well As My Bigger Large Mouth Spinner Baits. The Current Will Do All The Work For Ya. Appreciate Ya Watching & Stay Safe Out There.
Finally! Someone right handed that switched the reel handle to the left side! That just makes much more sense than switching the rod from hand to hand after every cast! Nice fish too by the way!
I agree, 100%. Although it doesn’t impact me in any way, it annoys the heck out of me to see all of these goobers playing the pattycake/hand-switching game with their spinning rigs, as if they’re some pro bass angler with a baitcaster in his hand. All normal right handed people simply install the handle on the left side of the spinning reel. It’s pretty inconsequential, but it’s one of my pet peeves with fishing
I could have told you that before you even wasted your time. People fishing around me using power bait, corn worms, lures and whatever else, With Joe's Flies I caught fish consistently, everyone else not very often. It was the same every time I went.

I personally love the joe flies. I love WV companies being from the eastern panhandle and they work on just about anything. My favorite is the black Woolley worm or meal worm flies. If you can find them get them in 1/8 oz and use an ultra light rod. The trout are really a good fight.
We Use The Joe's Flie Super Strikers. They're A 1/4 Oz And Cast Really Good. I Favor 7 FT Rods To Get More Distance And Accuracy. Usually 6 10 or 7 Ft Rods A 30 Size Real Filled With 4 or 6 Lb Test & Your In Business. And When We Use Jigs & Bobbers, Use The Lead Bottom Bobbers And Ya Can Really Get A LONG Cast. When fishing lightweight stuff it’s best to use 6lb braid. It has 2lb monofilament diameter so casting is amazing I use a 5’6” Daiwa presso travel rod and use 6lb braid/6lb floro leader with aberto knot and I can get extremely accurate casting
JUST TIE A CLIP ON SWIVELS UP TO YOUR LINE AND TAKE OFF. IT CASTS GOOD BECAUSE IT'S A 1/4 OZ BUT A WEIGHT WON'T HURT NOTHING.
