Not Of This Earth song from Joe's first album Not of this Earth (1986) recorded on Sept 28th 2015, Groningen, Netherlands for the Shockwave Tour 2015 in Europe. With Joe Satriani on guitar, Mike Keneally on guitare & keyboards, Bryan Beller on bass and Marco Minnemann on drums.
This is the first time since at least 25 years that this song has been played on stage.

"Not Of This Earth" is the door opening and inviting you to the journey of Joe's music. Inticing, hypnotic, emotional and incredibly well-structured. Still mesmerizing after all these years. True artist.

The song title fits it so perfect. The insane display of so many skills in one song, and all behind one of the most killer grooves.... It almost sounds not of this earth. I loved this song from the first time I heard it. And this lineup! Out of this world too. Marco, Bryan, Mike and Joe...legendary!

Mr. Morem, you said it! I don't play guitar now but did in middle school into high school before i was sucked away in a Cyclone of Substance Abuse. I am 47 now and this was around 1986-1988. Art is right. I saw Joe in Norfolk, Va. ATLEAST 20 years ago!😳. The so called proverbial wolf of the aging process is breathing down my neck!🤬😞😣 Good Tidings, Mate!😁

That's why live performances are special. You experience a one of a kind version of the music...never to be duplicated again. Sure, you want it to sound like the original to a degree, but variances for the performance you witnessed are why you go to concerts.
