@@ryansmith3747 Hey Ryan been watching you for a while now and unfortunately for me and many others your amazing. Got some questions I bought my self a boss GT5 IN THIS Tune what are using for the loop/ delay in the sound. 2nd how do you come up with tunes is it case of hrs and weeks to come up with something or can you do it in a couple of days. With your own stuff why don't you make your own bac,ing don't have the equipment or just can't think ware to start?? If its the last get a band and create or you could sell your stuff or write for other ppl. Lastly on the gt5 I got the surfer sound all bass off but still not quite hi enough any suggestions. But Yeah the loop on crush of love what is it. I would offer to buy your tunes ie the rights but I ain't going any ware so will be no good. Give 1 of your tunes to satriani song 11 only a suggestion. Send 1 to that older American on you tube..is Mike something I will dbl check, his last name.
That was biblical man..great work. I LOVED IT..the improvisation was ballsy but boy did you interpret the context of the song well..looking forward to more brother..keep slaying those strings
GREAT playing and overall feel bro! This is one of the BEST versions I've heard of this song as it's one of my favorites of Satriani! Keep up the great playing as a lot of people don't realize how long it takes to be able to play a Satriani song like you just played with improv & all! AWESOME!!! :)
Merci mon ami ! Je suis très admiratif. Superbe. Moi qui suis fan de Joe depuis longtemps, c'est une belle découverte pour moi de trouver toutes tes vidéos. Continue !

Simply sublimissimo, (just try to catch the special rhythm of the song dancing around the metronome ....) from 3'15'' it's absolutly fantastic, your improvisation is FABULOUS !!!!!!!!!! Thanks Ryan

i used to be in a heavy to rock band years ago i was pretty good but i cant read music ever i play by feel and ear havent picked up a axe in over 20 some odd years you have inspired me to start wanting to play again what type of harmonics and pedals do you use to get the joe satriani sound ive been plagued by that for years havent got it right yet you nailed it perfect on the head awesome playing Ryan thanks again for getting my old butt rocking again i like your playing style its similar to my own style by watching your videos you are showing this older player a few more tricks
Thank you so much for the kind words Steve! I really appreciate it. I just use a boss GT-5 for everything (distortion, effects, etc) if you're ever able to get a GT-5 I'd give you the settings I use to get the sound. I can't read music either apart from tabs and by ear. I know quite a few scales and as long as I know what key a song is in, I can just improvise or create something over it Glad I've been able to inspire you!
Hi Ryan, you have posted a cover of my favourite Satch song! :) Always puts a smile on my face when I’m listening to it. I think you did a great job here and you have very good attitude when playing. Which wah did you use by the way? It would be awesome to see you jamming over a Satriani style of backing track. Check out this one: bit.ly/1Lu8l3U (you can find the backing track to the right of the video, it is free for streaming). You have really cool energy when playing - keep going! ;) --Bogdan
gmcguitar Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it :) I'm using the Satriani signature wah pedal called "big bad wah". I made a video a few months ago of me jamming over a Satriani style backing track, here's the link to the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vkzOf5Y5EwI.html see what you think.
