I think walking away in his prime and losing the extra weight probably did him a lot of good in the long run... look at Jim Brown vs Muhammad Ali, One of them walked away at 30 and is still around at almost 90. The other hung on until he was 40 and was gone before 80

I quit football after 9th grade. I loved playing but there were too many guys on my team that got hurt. I'm a really big guy and had a slim chance at the NFL. But even if it was guaranteed that I can go to the NFL and play at least four or five years and make 10 or 15 million dollars I'm glad I quit. I don't want to be messed up for the rest of my life just for some quick cash.

He said his memory is not like it used to be. He sounds like me but I have Attention Deficit Disorder, Anxiety, and Dyslexia (which is mainly my memory) but mine was diagnosed at 8. Him dealing with this now is scary considering he shouldn’t be having my forgetfulness now and not earlier in his life. Like where you’re doing something and then go “tf am I doing again?” Or where, this has been happening and it’s been so annoying, I get to my car to go to school and realize I forgot my backpack AGAIN in the house. Living all my life this way has made it so I’m like “yep I’m used to this.” But if it came out of no where then something is wrong

I think your take is too literal. In my opinion, he's trying to say...let's not sue the league for our head injuries when we knew what we were getting into and that it was part of the potential risk. Players are not blind to the risks like they were when the sport began. They are aware and like boxers they choose to assume the risk, while observing safety protocols in order to play the game and be well compensated just like best fighters. Industrial painters, miners....he's making the point that people assume risk to make a living and pay bills. Instead of simply waiting for medical advancements, I hope he researches homeopathic but very effective therapies such as: Nat Sulph, Nat Mur, Kangen Water & high doses of Omega 3 Fatty Acids (Krill Oil).
@stillnessinmovement
@stillnessinmovement 7 лет назад
I would agree to an extent, but the NFL has had many chances to make the sport safer, and they have chosen not to. because of that, they deserve to the the FUCK sued out of them,until they make changes; better helmets, better rules about concussion and playing, and better healthcare for all retired athletes.
@petrofor3430
@petrofor3430 7 лет назад
wijewels1 those "homeopathic treatments" don't work lol...and as far as playing football goes a lot of players didn't know the risk of playing and the NFL hid studies about concussions...they have the right to sue ...they're in the position they are in because of the nfl's gross negligence..

homeopathy has a lot of science that clearly shows it has stuff that works. people just don't understand, because there has been a century of propaganda against all alternative treatments. and the AMA would not bother with the propaganda if there wasn't something there. same with weed. it is put down BECAUSE it has a competitive advantage over other medicines, and big pharma don't want you knowing that...
@Coff1nf33der
@Coff1nf33der 7 лет назад
Homeopathy has no science behind it at all. Most principles of homeopathy actually go directly against everything we know about how the world works. It has been used and studied for centuries and there is still no proof that it works, that really should count for something
