Everyone in the industry loves Joe. He just loves to play. And he is THE reason I picked up the guitar waaaaay back in 1980. His writing is unique, quirky and masterful all at once. I stood in the front of him at the old Ritz in `88 and I was getting hit with his sweat all night. I could look up his friggin nose. I was a quick and sneaky S.O.B back then and did that at alot of shows. At Monsters of Rock I was right in front of Ed Van Halen, but there was a police barrier, so I guess I was about 10 ft away. I used to love small venues . Much more personal.
The humble Eagle! He also brought a much needed hard rock edge to the band. Forever the rule breaker showing up drunk to live gigs in pajamas and goofy hats and changing lyrics to his liking during live shows he always got under Glen and Don's skin. At least he knew how to have fun!

One of the best guitarist there has ever been. Joe Walsh had a unique voice and entertained you with his talents. The Eagles are my favorite Rock band. They had the most talent of any band as a whole, and on their own as individual artists. This was the real Rock and Roll and I was blessed living in this Era. Nevermore will Rock'n 'Roll ever be the same as what we had in the 70s and 80s. Thank you Joe Walsh for continuing to play, sing, and entertain us still today with the talents God gave you. Also, you are an example that nothing can break you or keep you down unless you let it, but you have to want it bad enough to do the work
Saw Joe Walsh and Foreigner in Tulsa, OK in 87...... It was awesome and I REALLY wish kids today could experience the greatness that is this kind of music in a live setting. It’s timeless and I consider myself very lucky.
He'll get his. Fuck, james gang, eagles, his solo stuff. He is probably the greatest rocker there ever was. Most underrated guitarist and musician ever in my opinion. Stories about him giving Jimmy Page his Les Paul, giving Frampton the talk box. James Gang followed early Zeppelin and held their own. All due to this man, god bless him.

I first heard Joe at a high school dance, back when The James Gang was still knocking around the bars in Kent, Oh. They already had quite a reputation - you could barely move in the place so many people were there. Great then, and would only get greater.

I grew up just a couple of miles from Gilley’s. How Joe Walsh so perfectly relayed how things are done in those refineries, Spencer Hwy, and Pasa-get-down-dena, in this song is a mystery! That whole area is little Mexico these days… Thanks Joe, for putting this perfect song together that leaves no one in doubt how things were back then…😎👍👍

Saw Joe open 1n 1975 @ Oakland for the Eagles....he was so drunk fr was knocking over equipment and got booed off stage..... Glen was apologizing for him when the Eagles came on to perform........ fast forward about 2 years later...Grand Haller Frankfurt am Mine (then) West Germany..... Eagles on the 'Hotel California' Tour playing on Stage Left (my right) was Joe his-self as a member of the Eagles!......good times!

Joe Walsh began performing with Don Felder and the rest of his back up in 1975 officially. Bernie Leadon left after the One Of These Nights tour hence Joe's induction.
