He proceeded to miss the layup and both free throws from the flagrant foul which obviously ended in a good thing for the sixers. He didnt even get hurt off that play he had a alley oop dunk 2 plays later 😭

I knew the Knicks was gonna lose the moment I saw Donte literally get whacked in the back of his head on a 3pt attempt and they swallowed. Yet two plays later Tyrese got a pass to the corner and fell and the refs automatically called a bullshit push foul on Hart, they knew they were gonna lose too. That’s why Brunson was smiling on his last free throw attempt, and Thibs was yelling “I know! I know! , do the assignment”

I hate this narrative of some narrow minded fans pertaining to Embiid of getting all the calls and an astronomical amount of free throws per game but if you look back in the history of NBA hoops you will find not some but all top players getting high double figures in attempts ! Why ? Because they are so much better than their opponents and their opponents will bail out by fouling....many many more attempts. Look at old box scores from Wilt to Shaq to Bird to MJ to Kobe to LeBron and sprinkle in between any other great players. Knicks fans please look at Clyde Frazier ft attempts .. eventually Jalen brunson will be living there as much as embiid when the referees smarten enough and respect him more . He’s not dirty at all. Dude is the most valuable player on the court and has had multiple injuries because of other players landing on him. He even said it was triggering seeing him go up. The optics didn’t look great in the moment, but Robinson wasn’t hurt on the play, he got the penalty shots, and they played on

That exact scenario is how he suffered the injury. He's on the floor and Robinson is right there about to step on him (accidentally) so he goes to extreme measures to protect himself. He got correctly called for a flagrant. No need to cry about it. The Refs gave the Knicks game 2. Sixers should be up 2 to 1 right now. Instead, the Knicks are still sitting pretty. Every Knick complaint looks awful because they were gifted a game.

I hate when fans don’t admit the obvious about their teams. As a Knicks fan, I freely admit that Brunson hunts for fouls. Embid is the worst offender of this in the league. He gets all the calls. It is what it is… no need to deny it. It’s a huge advantage to have someone like that on your team. That said, when you start pulling on the legs of players while they’re jumping… you’re crossing a line.
