This sounds absolutely fascinating! I remember the 90 disaster season and the early 90s suspension of George. If you would have picked a team that would dominate the 90s as a whole the Yankees were not on anybody’s short list. The Braves, Blue Jays, Orioles and Reds were poised to make big moves in that direction. The miracle of the core four plus Bernie and Paul never ceases to amaze me!
