okay i dont understand music much, just a casual listener. but i can tell you there is something real going on also i got the feeling that he found new formula, and he's excited for that. and that ending is like saying "hah i'm not done with you yet, this is not the end of the story. i will meet you again later"

Waltz for debby was made for bill Evan's niece Debby Evans, and was not the girlfriend of bill evans. Bill evans' girlfriend who later then became his wife was Nenette Zazzara. :))
I think that's the beauty of jazz, u can play your own point of view. MATTER of fact I am not a BE fan though I've listened to waltz for Debby BE's own version, but listening to JA's version might make me go back and listen to BE again. Jazz is beautiful!

And, if one realizes, that he never officially studied music. Never took a lesson. Has been playing this way since he was a toddler. Not even sure he can read staff music although I might be wrong on that.
