Joey's been seen patrolling the streets of LA for fat women wearing open shoes & men carrying yoga mats, we advise hipsters of all age to stay home and avoid an unfortunate encounter with the Doctah
@Humble American #1 not to be asinine...but for his success that pulled him away from that life (and I say this as someone who likes Joey Diaz), he would still be doing all he did and more. He relishes reliving those stories because a part of it was and still does feel cool to him. I respect that. But let's not make it like he is completely a transformed human being. It's just that now he has some measure of wealth that he wants to protect. So it suits his situation now to look down on those "others", when he himself would still be one of them.
I went to LA on vacation a year ago. I'm from the Midwest. We are born to be afraid of CA. I fucking loved it. I thought the people were gonna suck. They were super nice. Ultimately, there are assholes everywhere. Even in flyover country. But a vast majority of people are cool.
Think its the corona..motivates people. My ma quit smoking after 50 years..lost some weight too. Some good came out of this..at least for me personally. Shame it took this situation.
It stays hot in North Hollywood. I remember going to the skate plaza 7-8 yrs. ago in Noho park and even then, there were not many people living in the park yet. Now its been some years now and I can't imagine how bad its gotten.
Joey love ur podcasts and all guests n ur life storys is comedy and sad and terrifying so contrast on all...u r very interesting man..But what i try to say is fckin Joe Rogan moved in 1970s Star Wars space ship...if even guest is brand nue but that alien walls is terrible..its only my opinion but it is what it is ...i sae many negative comments about new place. Joey i watch u in every type of mood..when depressed..when bappy.its brill. company for anyone ..bave nice puff n watch n i feel like i sit next to us.podcast is addicted,i try to no miss any.. Bless u and ur team Cuz.😉☺
I'm in Pasadena and love it.... Still. It's not like the SF Valley or Hollyweird or downtown craziness. I get the "LA hate" and it's def a dumpster fire ran by dirty Dems but, there ARE nice spots if u look hard enough. And the weather is amazing. Every day is picturesque. Those of us that stick thru this rough patch will reap the rewards in several years - IF - we can vote out the blue and bring in the red. People don't realize CA used to be a centrist/moderate state with Republican leadership. I'm rooting for people to keep moving out so we have more space.
i love the noho park it was my hang out spot when i first moved there and no one , n the food trucks r delicious. wann miove back down but not quite the right time for me yet, I'll check back in January
I lived in L.A. from 1979 to 2012. I still have family and friends there, and when I come back to visit them I'm saddened by what became of such a once vibrant place. The 80s and 90s were awesome in L.A. because of the underground/counter culture that existed pre-internet. Now, it's a pc cesspool but, I still have love in my heart for the place that gave me so many amazing memories.
Lived in LA 3 years , scary city. I was a white boy luckily 6 foot 2 275 but still. A group of G's in the liqour store staring at you like wolves. Now im in Guam never looking back
If you are a white male - this is not the place to be. If you live in the hills and have a good group of friends it’s doable. But as far as the general public, it’s a disaster.
Bro, I used to live in LA, big fkn city, have you been to the rest of America lately? (Big metro areas.) That shit is everyday 24 hours a day in every city. I think Dallas is the cleanest city I've been to in a while, but here in my area, Denver,Albuquerque, Colorado Springs. Needles everywhere, homeless, naked, or halfnaked tweakers are everywhere. Welcome to 2020. My wife is from middle America, and all those little towns have no jobs, and tweakers there as well, it ain't an LA thing, its Merica baby
East Los Angeles is probably the chillest part of LA. South Central is more dirty and more homelessness, west LA not too familiar with along with the north side. Downtown is horrible though fuck that shit ! Too many cars and homeless
I worked for Verizon and this black dude with stolen identity tried to open an account and finance 1000+phones. I told him he was beat and he went on this giant tirade about how I was racist lol
First Name Last Name Tampa or St. Petersburg is not awful. I live in St.pete south of Tampa. Tampa riots did burn down a Dicks sporting goods and Taco Bell but that’s it lmfao
Yeah I wanna have a look see what my child is walking into either video it don’t let everyone go look but show us online whatever where my kid will learn give me some peace.
LA is such a spread out ghetto the only good areas are the ones outside of it. Its like third world country with bunch of large gated communities. LA doesn’t even have quality culture of its own. Films and Porn?! Cities like Chicago have theatre, New York has alot of every culture, SF, Seattle, Nashville these cities have character. I don’t get LA. Its probly like people saying they are from Detroit but have never lived in the actual city.
Yeah it’s that way over on the west coast, because a lot of Lutherans come from Illinois, Michigan, or Wisconsin. I only know about it from my step mom that’s from Wisconsin
I wanna live in LA. My brother lives in San Diego. I love the West Coast. The weather is so much better than Nashville . Not to mention the beautiful California girls. PS some one eyed guy paid me a visit. Hooked me up. 👁🌳🌲🌲🌳🗣💨💨
You will be just fine in San Diego, I'm about an hour north of San Diego in Lake Forest CA LA is perfectly fine to visit, spend some money and enjoy the night life on occasion, but you don't want to live there
LA is better than its ever been. Crime and especially murder rates are a fraction of what they were in the 90s and new construction is popping up everywhere. Yeah its expensive but living in one of the most desirable places in the world aint ever gonna be cheap
