Joey+Rory - Take My Hand, Precious Lord (Live) 

My Dad passed last year aged 88, and I chose the Jim Reeves version of this for the committal part of his funeral. I am 60 and have no health issues, but I have already chosen my songs and written down for my children. I have chosen the Joey & Rory version for when my time comes. Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home. I was with my Dad when he passed, and I can't explain it, but I honestly felt that God came and took his hand and took him home. I lost all fear of death in that moment.

I'm a stage 4 cancer patient whose treatment has stopped . A friend suggested this song to me and it had brought me peace and comfort that I can't explain . It's such a beautiful song , and after hearing of her struggle with cancer it's meant even more . God bless you my angel , see you in heaven soon .

I listen to this song everyday. My mother was diagnose with Ovarian Cancer in February of 2016. She went through Chemo and in October 2016 she was found to be cancer free. Sadly in March of this year they discovered that her cancer has come back 😢 All we can do now is pray pray and pray for another positive outcome. This song is somewhat preparing me for the day that we will all be lead home by our precious Jesus. I have read almost all about Joey's story and I cried through all of them. My heart goes out to her family ❤️🙏🏻

I am sitting here waiting for a hip replacement and now I have a module on my lung and my hemogoblim is low so I am on iron pills too right now. My lord. Ive only discovered Joey and Rory a few weeks,, and up till now I've only listened on my smartphone speakers. Tonight I put on premium earphones, and Joey has a break in her voice that sounds like a child but also like heaven. Her unique outward beauty so fits her beautiful voice. May she and all who loved her be blessed and live true for her sake.

I have never met Joey but i was drawn to her beautiful music and to the spirit that lives in her ...and to see Rory Glance over at Joey while they were on stage worshipping God ...Great 💘 Love that they both have for each other..Thank you Jesus !!!

Shows you what the lord can do even in probably some very bad pain and being so tired she surely did not show it especially on the stage singing. The faith that she had in the lord is what kept her fighting as long as she did, this song gave me goosebumps you can tell that she was speaking to the Lord whole heartedly.....I absolutely love these two, whether thru hymns or the crazy ,funny, sad, or truthful songs I love all of them. I can't imagine the strength they had, Joey as sick as she was here still up and praising our Lord and Rory, his love for Joey is so very rare these days, even though he is standing there singing with her knowing it will probably be one of the last times he will it had to be ripping him apart inside but he still did not show any fear or hurt and continued to stay right beside her doing what she loved to do with the same amount of love as ever for her and smiling because he knew she was happy, even though she was in pain and feeling terrible; you know he wanted to just scoop her up and just hold her forever. I can say every single day even at work I am listening to them. Bless you Rory and family and Joey you are with the best choir now. You all have made a huge impact on a lot of lives in this world and have shown that there is some beautiful still in this cold dark world we are in rest easy Joey. Singing to the heavens now and forever missed.

He was my first GRANDSON, it's taking my 2nd Grandson who had to watch his brother die right before his eyes,while the blood come out of his mouth trying to talk. It's bad for all of us. Well I heard there's no tears in heaven. I lived a horrible life and I can't take any more, so I'm ready take me my almighty LORD.

My gg (great grandmother) died not to long ago. We played this song at her funeral. I bawl every time I hear this. This song was so true she was tried week and wore. I will never get over the pain. I like Joey am in a difficult place in life I have stage 4 lung cancer. But I like Joey keep my eyes on my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A blessing from my sister in Christ, Rochelle. My pain was so high I didn’t know what to do with myself. I called her only to get her voicemail. I just said I needed her to sing to me. So many hours had passed and I finally slept. It’s now 3:44 a.m. and I found she had sent this amazing song to me. My, how it expressed my heart. No, it wasn’t new to me, but the artists were. I am once again in the throes of pain that made me reach out to Ro in the first place. It doesn’t get much worse than this. All I had done wrong, when I thought so hard about it, was to shower. Oh, I had fixed my hair, too. Apparently this was enough. After 12 falls, with my fully titanium spine, replaced shoulder and hip, there aren’t too many things except deep prayer that have preserved my sanity, lately. What once took two days to re over from now takes at least five. Me dear sister left this waiting for me. I have no tears left - me who never cried. Some say it’s good to cry, but I’m not so sure. I keep thinking if I think it’s difficult I must be in some serious trouble. There’s not much to say except it’s so incredibly difficult. Thank you my dear, dear sister. The Lord Jesus Christ has never failed me. He’s been with me when a nary s verse - even a lyric from all hymns could/would come to mind. Still, I’ve always known that he was with me in every moment. My one true witness. I yearn to meet him face-to-face, but he hasn’t taken me home yet so I figure he wants me here on earth. Doing, I don’t know what, but as the book says, his thought are not our thoughts. I wait as patiently as one in my circumstances is able. He loved me first. I remember now Paul, our apostle’s words returned to me. He, during this Age of grace said to the Lord, please remove this messenger of Satan who buffets me... a prayer he repeated three times. The Lord’s response is written in 2 Cor 12:9. He said, “My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made of effect in thy weakness.” Could truer words have ever uttered.anthingvso reassuring?

They say God has a plan for all of us, just wish he hadn't taken Joey from us so soon.

Saturday will be a month that I lost my best friend, my mother. She fought cancer for 10 long years, she was such a strong woman. My mother and I both loved Joey fleek so much, it was such a sad day when we learned of her passing. The last few weeks of my mother's life, I quit my job so I could stay at my parents house and take care of her, the last few days of my mom's life I played this song over and over, it is one of our favorites. I'm sure mamas singing away with joey up in heaven.. I love you mom♡

My Pop Pop was a big fan of yours. He watched your show all the time & would sing along. He really wanted to take a road trip to come visit your farm & meet you guys, but he got very sick a few years ago. When he was sick, watching your show was one of the few things that made him happy. it's been close to 2 years that my wife and I heard Joey and Rory sing for the LORD Jesus the first time. From that moment on we were captivated by the anointed music and there love for GOD and LORD Jesus. when I heard of Joey being sick it almost broke my heart. I prayed every night as long as there was a breath in her body I had to pray. I can't imagine what Rory is going through but this I do know, his Lord will give him peace in the midst of his storm. Rory my wife and I are praying for you and you family. Don't lose the FAITH.

I watched all of Joey programs on Tv. I never missed one. I still follow him and what a touching life they liked. I call it a real fairy tale. Life just don't turn out sometimes the way we would like for it to. I really believe It is to make us stronger and be closer to God and Heaven.
