This elegant piano piece has become embedded in the popular mind as the favorite music of the brilliant psychiatrist and vicious cannibal Hannibal Lector. From Goldberg Variations. Performed by Glenn Gould
I love them both. Hopkins played Lecter perfectly, but as far as the physical description, Mads was closer. I honestly cannot choose a favourite between the two.
This is actually a staple of Glenn Gould's performances, he has a tendency to hum along to his playing and interpret the score quite freely. Many criticize his approach while others consider him to be a genius.
If you like the series, I implore you to read the books by Thomas Harris, they're delightful. Then i recommend the films, a different vision but it synced with my imagination having been fortunate to read the books beforehand.
Lemon Grass and they don t include Rosalyn Tureck or Andras Schiff who both have recorded the Goldberg Variations . I think it funny that the aria would become independent of the rest of the variations because of Silence of the Lambs . Be Well
What is wrong with that? It's like saying '' Man 1: Look! A horse in a movie! Man 2: Why are you saying this! Horses existed millions of years ago before this movie! ''... See.
My friends and I have this little ritual, whenever we get together for some fine dining (preferably steak and red wine), we start our dinner music with this lovely composition.
I REALLY enjoy making dinner while listening to this music. Makes me prepare my meals....lets say with an "goût exquis" =)AND I am so happy Hannibal is getting a food cooking show on HULU lmao! Fun times await!
I woudn't say that one of them was better than the other because both made the best out of their characters. They play just very different interpretations of the role.
The two portrayals can't be compared, both were amazing performances. However, Hopkins and Mads had two different ways of portraying Hannibal. Both equally amazing in their own right.
I had for 2 months straight listened to nothing but classical music and I have to say I've never been in such a deep trance before, while those around me broke down In emotion and anger while struggling with their daily lives I was like hannibal, gently waiving my hand over the music on his tape recorder before his great escape
I searched up Capo, a JOJO’S Bizarre Adventure soundtrack, and I found myself both listening to this beautiful piece of music and wanting to watch Hannibal again.
Same..finished watching it today. Watched the silence of the lambs and hannibal though i never watched red dragon..i want to but im afraid it would ruin season 3 ?
With all my knowledge and intrusion, I could never entirely predict you. I can feed the catterpillar, whisper through its chrysalis. But what hatches follows its own nature and is beyond me.

Fifty-three people do not appreciate such a masterpiece and they are so ludicrous for not enjoying a wondrous dinner. I shall go back into my kitchen and finish my roasted brain.
This and Aperitif is the reason i have started playing piano again after not bothering to play it for 10yrs since i was in 4th grade. I started with the basics again since I had forgotten quite a lot and in a few weeks I mastered Aperitif but this one seems to take a while but im working on it.
Not only do BBC Sherlock and NBC Hannibal have villains who are brothers, but they both reference Johann Sebastian Bach. Oh, and mind palaces. Dont forget that.
