Hi, I am newish to reading the Bible. My friend told me to read John. Sometimes I read sometimes I listen to the audio bible. After reading or listening, I find it helpful coming here and listening to Skip's sermons. I also love how the expound website has the transcript as well. Thank you for sharing your sermons on RU-vid
I work around and see "true suffering " daily. I have "suffered," What has transpired of late is a journey of discomfort that has tried my FAITH! I changed; not my circumstances. I just need a breath. I'm ready to "function ."Its been hard, hurtful. And I Thank you LORD!!!
Again…I repeat…thank u for these videos as I study John one chapter per month. I read that chapter each day & meditate on it. Then meet with a friend to grow in our faith. We ask “what is Jesus saying or doing here?” And “what does this mean for me today”. John 9 excellent…Policy over people? Jesus is for us people ALWAYS 🇨🇦✝️
I was blessed by this sermon. Just found you on RU-vid and subscribed. A few times I had to pause throughout the sermon and was brought to tears especially when you talked about rejection!🤗
Listening to this and who would have thought someone was going to put saliva to someone in the pulpit. Well, it happened a few months ago but in a grotesque way in one of those prosperity churches. And it wasn’t to heal nobody. May the Lord help us🙏🏽
53 minute sermon or rather lecture. Skip no doubt thinks very highly of himself in that he's the star of the church show. It's exactly what a church is not meant to be.
Vain people living for themselves or their kin, are not happy, although they look it. It is a facade. They are not at peace. True peace comes from Jesus Christ only.
Its not a specific prayer but usually covers the following elements Believe in Christ and his ability to save you Decision to repent of sins, i.e. change your direction and turn from your continuous life of sin Confession of your sins and asking for his forgiveness Acknowledgement that He died on the cross, was buried, and rose again after 3 days for your salvation Inviting Him to be the Lord of your life. Once you get those in it is sufficient. Of course the critical element is really believing what you say.
@@kennywill3849 hey thank you. I can follow you on -Believe in Christ - Repent of sun - Confess - I would even go on a day prayer needs to be apart of all this! I am still stuck though. I don’t see this in action in the Bible anywhere. I never see somebody being taught and then “they prayed a prayer accepting Jesus …” or however else it needs to be worded. I do see - Being taught - Confessing - Repenting - Urgently being baptized - Live your life reflecting that
