One of my favourite movies, in part because of the fabulous score by John Barry, the incredible cinematography, and the basic adventure story. But mostly because of the feisty Bess Armstrong
Chaplin, Out of Africa, Indecent Proposal, Somewhere in Time, the Bond movies, many more! After I saw this movie in 1983 I could recognize his music in any movie.
High Road to China 1983 Great Movie, Great Soundtrack preceded John Barry's "Out of Africa" 1985 . notice the similarity in the music. Wonderful Arial Cinematography by Peter Allwork who also filmed Arial's on Out of Africa
Once you start interrupting the body of the music with commercials, there is no point in listening to this music anymore. Please stick the commercial before the music starts or otherwise after the music ends. This music is like a beautiful statement! How dare you crap it up. 💔
Ben 1984 yılında İzmir - Türkiye 'de filmini seyretmiştim. Harikulade bir yapım. Hele müzikleri John Barry çok büyük usta. Kalbi sevgiyle dolu herkese selamlar. 🙏🦅🦅❤️🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
John Barry demuestra que es el compositor de música cinematográfica con mayor sensibilidad y sentido del romanticismo de la historia del cine. Las notas musicales de sus partituras surgen directamente del corazón.
O'Malley to Evie: "I only made one mistake." Evie: "What was that?" O'Malley: "I should have sold you when I had the chance." And then they kissed. What an absolutely GREAT ending!
Was asked to watch this years ago. Well as a 20 year old I fell in love with the music. It took my breath away. What a talent John Barry had. Ever since I’ve kept adding his film scores to my happy playlist. Not sure if this suite is available on iTunes. Where can I get this ?
It’s a good flick ! Why the hell don’t they play it more often ! Probably because they don’t want to piss off the “Reds” ! Try growing a “pair” Soy Boy’s !
