This Part 2 drum video continues playing John Bonham grooves with 32nd Notes Drags on the Drum Set, it continues with taking 32nd note drag patterns and morphing them into a Triplet feel a la John Bonham. Check it out. Hope you like the grooves. Practice these exercises slowly till comfortable, then pick them up to speed once you feel they are in the groove. Don't forget to watch the Bloopers at the end of this video, it will make you laugh. Thanks for watching - Keep Rockin' JOEDRUMS2112

Woh. I've been doing that all wrong for years and never even noticed. I realised that with your first hit. I've only seen two of your videos. And you've taught me more than anyone one else has ever managed. Haha! 😂 I've been playing for 20 years on and off. I just taught myself by playing along to records. But I'm really trying to fill the gaps in my knowledge now. Recently I realised I didn't know more than I actually knew! Lol. I never ever knew any rudiments. No theory. Couldn't identify timings. I just felt it and winged it. Which is fine when everyone else in the band is just making it up too. But when you get a call to play with proper musicians. That kind of stuff is noticed. So I'm going back to school. Great what you said about the ego at the start too. Something I've always tried to avoid. As in showing off. But maybe that got in the way of me learning the basics. Anyway. Thanks Joe. You're a great teacher mate.

Thank you for noticing that. I did it right in the triplet version of #21, but not the main one. Oh well. I guess you now know I'm human. Hahaha. : ) Thanks for watching. Keep Rockin' JOEDRUMS2112

Hey Joe, this is great - thanks so much! I've been working through the Mini-Monster book (after over 25 years of drumming!), but it's so helpful to see the beats demoed by you! A couple of questions: (1) what sticks are you using? I usually play with Vic Firth 5BNs and a few people have told me they're too big/heavy to get a good feel, but your sticks look about the same width/weight to me; (2) can you teach us how to scream like Robert Plant? ha ha, only joking there...

I think you putting the bass drum too fast in the end of number 21

Yeah, I think you're playing the last bass drum hit of 21 the same as it is in 22, whereas in fact it comes a quarter beat later - but it still sounds GREAT!

You really need to mic yourself when you are talking between the drumming sections. You cannot be heard. A good lavaliere mic is all you need and then you will both your drumming and voice recording through your mixer.
