Supermatch between John Brzenk and Zurab Tavberidze . East vs West 3 , Istanbul May 21st East vs West armwrestling merch my-store-cb6923.creator-sprin...
There has been a lot of frustration over calls on non-intrusive elbow fouls. These two by John and Zurab didn't happen in connection to a surge and therefore were ignored.
I'm 51 and let me tell you, as I get older I am less strong less agile, and especially a lot less quicker. What John is doing at 57 is absolutely incredible! He will always be the GOAT of Arm Wrestling.
don't think you lose that much strength. Id say speed, flexible and getting injured easier is what is goin to happen. Old man strength is a thing and you see it here
I have seen old dudes arm wrestling and beat much younger opponents. I am sure that you just watch netflix and blame nature on your less agilty and straight because is easier to trow in food then pumping some muscles
@@romeolajh1602 lmfao you're watching guys that workout, train on a daily basis. I'm the average guy that doesn't need to train because I'm not in a sport. I don't get all the moronic comments I'm getting. Smfh
@@treewisps4085 Old man strength you're referring to is an older dude who's got his gym life figured out vs his younger inexperienced self not knowing how to train and still testing what works and what not A young inexperienced man vs a mature inexperienced man is 99% won by the young man
I don’t know if people who are not very familiar with the sport of arm wrestling realize just how impressive this is. Here is a guy who is almost 60 - yes 60 - and still beating some of the top competitors in his sport. Truly remarkable! The GOAT of GOATs.
The most remarkable part of it is, that he is taking fights pretty much every month and cannot be on his top performance each time. Here he says his arm and wrist felt good, but didn't mention his shoulder. I think it might not totally have recovered from the Pavlo match 3 weeks ago
There are 2 stages of John: The composed and calm John, and the annoyed, infuriated John. The 2nd stage only happens when referees make him angry. Don't ever pull him in that stage unless you are a super heavy weight, Pushkar-level beast.
There is a 3rd stage. That's when John gets upset with his opponents. In my opinion that I the scariest John. He doesn't play or feel out his opponent when he is pissed at them. He smashes them.
John Brzenk is an absolute living legend. Sure he's lost matches, but the man has cemented his status dominating the sport for over 40 years often beating guys who are much bigger than he was during his prime. Sure there are other arm wrestlers who are more popular/well known or better ambassadors for the sport. Longevity, accomplishments, status & universally respected is what defines John’s legacy as the GOAT. Even now at age nearing 58 soon he is still a beast for his weight class. He is indeed the perfect storm ⛈ 💪 🔥 🐐 Thank you Engin for setting up all these amazing matches and events.
And he's beating much younger guys who are in their prime, when he has chronic injuries limiting some of his capabilities. Toddzilla doing it too. They are also proving that this idea the sport has "evolved" past them, or that John got his glory in the days when the field was weaker or whatever is bullsh*^. John still beating prime guys in his class at age 58 is proof that his way works, and he would have been dominant in any era.
@@saltedllama2759 I agree. The level of arm wrestling didn’t increase for heavyweight and under. Only the super heavyweights have reached a new level. There’s just more pullers now so it’s harder to win tournaments compared to the past.
East v West, King of the Table, and Arm Wars are keeping the sport alive by consistently producing content for us to watch. Thank you for this Engin. Not sure what happened to the WAL or PAL but arm-wrestling has refused to slow down.
@@adrianyeager6463 theyre lagging it and people need to pull, aint no one trynna sit around waiting for them to do something. im glad engin stepped up and has these events, win or lose the pull are entertaining and we get to watch matchups we wouldnt see anywhere else.
Idk about armwars but neil is amazing just think his thoughts on making people wait months for matches are a bit ridiculous. And the numbers compared to east vs west/kott are way more impressive then armwars numbers.
WAL is league not 3-6 months event..every athlete have busy schedule every week pull and pin each others, need more stamina and endurance, maybe not strict rule, but in strict rule its ok
We are entering a new era of arm wrestling exposure and appreciation; Engin Terzi is leading the way. John Brzenk has seen generations come and go and he is still here at the elite level.
John, pushing 58, still beating guys in their prime while battling chronic injuries and a limited range of motion. Proving, irrefutably, that his way works, and he would have been great in any era. The sport hasn't evolved past him, and the new field wouldn't have kept him down in his prime.
Hasn’t evolved past him in his actual weight class, cause in that weight he is exceptional. However todays best heavyweights are way past anything he has ever been. He could beat the heavyweights back in the day, but today the genetics and the PED use at the top of the game is beyond anything Brzenk and his frame can contest with. That doesn’t make him any less great though
@@thekg6015 zurab did elbow foul but referee didn't notice that while pinning jhon but engin notice that he said at his channel. therefore jhon trying to clarify this mistake. in my opinion those pins are not correct.
@@i2l4y1a6v.3i.qn. Да грузин там чё только не вытворял !! Его дисквалифицировать по хорошему !!! )) В конце его Брзенк чисто уделал, и показал что такое настоящая победа !
John is still impressive after all his accomplishments. His style and composure is the best in my opinion. No yelling or screaming from him just straight torque and power.
You see that God damn surge of power at 13:53 from John thats some terrifying shit. The match was such a war and we loved it, congratulations to John and props to Zurab for such a great performance. Thanks for posting this in 1080 video quality Engin 👌👌
First pin was definitely BS but John showing why he is the GOAT. He made the adjustments needed and seemed to do so effortlessly. That last match looked a lot like when John pulled Zoloev, just total control.
@@TimmyTurner421 Its not a pin when your elbow goes off the pad to get opponents hand below the pin pad, then uts elbow foul and that's what john was complaining about.
13:36 Mins John Brzenk the most incredible poke face in the history of arm wrestling, this man showed his strength against someone much younger than him in just a fraction of seconds
thanks for the event Engin! even with the little problems with the livestream, it was worth every penny. you and a select few are carrying the sport of armwrestling to places it has never been taken. great work
Oh man, between KOTT, East Vs West and Armwars we have never been more pleased than we are today in the armwreslting community. Engin you are legend, thank you. 💪🙏
Amazing match!! The truth is...both sides have such incredible warriors. In an event like this, we all win. Thank you East. Thank you West. Thank you Engin, please do this again. 💪
Thanks Engin! We love what you are doing for the fans of arm-wrestling! These are all matches we love to see. Keep your focus on those who appreciate your brilliant pairing ideas, dedication and hard work in organizing East vs West events. Treat everyone else like background noise. When you are having a party at your house with friends, you don't get offended or bothered by dogs in the neighborhood barking, crows crowing, squirrels and geckos making noises. Also you don't cancel future party plans because of those background noises.
What a ridiculous amount of strength the G.O.A.T still has at his age. John is amazing. Let’s see if Levan is still at the top of the sport in his late 50s!
This dudes new name is the flying zurab! Hahahaha dude was floating so high off the pad and still barley took those rounds lol! Major congrats to the GOAT John B :)
SO FIRST MATCH WAS ABSOLUTELY MISS JUDGED. John went from hook to toproll by his will. If John knew that refree will call that a win for Zurab, John would have just slip out and go to strap. John was intentionally grabbing Zurab’s hand to make sure he has no way to escape that round into the straps.
Mate just because you have total hand control dosent mean you cant lose , if you get pinned on your losing side its a loss regardless pf your hand position, hand position does NOT determine losing or winning position.
Pissed of John looked strong didn't bother trying to test or hold just slammed side. Also think he could have done without losing a round but he was testing himself and not trying compared to when he just easily finished the match.
Although after round 1 you could clearly see he was struggling with his composure. Those eyebrows were down. But he came through in style. I'd have had the same reaction if I had suffered a similar verdict.
I watched that last round 3 or 4 times great stuff at his age still showing these younger guys whats happening amazing can't argue with anyone saying he is the goat 👏
To see John come back and do this well shows how hard he's been training again. We saw what happened with you know who so to see him be this good after just strictly training and hiding which is a good thing keeps us knowing he's truely training hard af! John is back better then ever because This dude he fought is insanely good!
Amazing to see John's evolution. Check out the 22 year old version of John sometime, flashing Zumwault, a +300 lbs monster and a favorite to win Over the Top. It was in the semifinals, and John won it in one second.
Incredible performance by Zurab. That was so close and could’ve gone his way. Awesome 2 pins he got on John and he is super strong with some of the best arms in the game 💪🏻💪🏻😎 He looks to be just getting better an better and those 2 pins are something to be super proud of as well as when his final press was stopped, pushed back, but he still came back to push John’s hand back again, before losing that last round. Awesome match. John being able to compete at this age on close to the same level as he used to is unbelievable. Like other worldly. I always root for my favs but if they lose to John I always smile. There’s no shame in losing to that guy, because he’s been the best for the longest of anyone ever in the sport. Props and again, great match 👏🏻
@@user-ft2md2gd4s Haha. I read the bible btw, so I'll be looking out for that quote about the GOAT! 🐐 😁 (Unfortunately goats get a bad rep in the bible)
