Dave is so powerful. He smashed Genadi the first two matches and was looking like he would in the 3rd if not for the elbow foul that saved Genadi. He just really fades the longer the match goes on it seems. What an awesome match.
The first time I watched this I was just in shock at the comeback, but after watching it a second time I’m so impressed with Genadi not getting disheartened after being down 2-0 he stuck to the plan kept energy high wore him down and did it. It’s such a significant difference between Genadi and say Michael Todd, Michael almost gets submissive when he’s losing Genadi stays fired up amazing performance.

Awesome contest. Dave and Genadi were perfectly matched to take each other to the very edge. Engin keeps crushing it as a matchmaker. The best matches, and they are actually happening.
@@sapthebee330 In armwrestling? Because in static strength, Larry Wheels made Levan look like a child when they worked out with weights and log together. 😁
Hey I'm from America representing the west and I'll admit!!! Even though the west took a loss on that match I was proud of Genadi's victory and the huge heart he showed not to give up all the way from losing bad too a victory. Everyone loves Dave who couldn't but same for Genadi in my opinion, both likable guys and good sportsmen💪
If anyone does subtitles what Genadi says during the match everything will get clear... During the second round he says to his aide in Georgian that Dave moves elbow out of the pad when attacking. then he continues that he will stop Dave in 3rd round for sure and he knows how to stop him... and thats what exactly he does in 3rd round. So, I am 100% sure Genadi executed his plan cunningly. First 2 rounds he made Dave work his hand and wrist, Genadi slipped 2 times than went to the straps and attacked Daves wrist to exhaust his hand. Then he went inside after pumping Daves forearm in these 2 rounds. He made a little mistake in round 3, which almost costed him the match, apart that he played his plan perfectly. This was pure versatility, high table IQ and insane power and endurance from Genadi. This was.pure class of armwrestling and ave to Genadi for that! everyone saying Genadi was lucky... I just dont want to answer such morons...
@@tallorder00 He wasnt trying his luck, he was draining Daves's hand and forearm. If he hooked Dave in round 1, He wouldnt be able to hold fresh Dave. He just followed his plan
@@BennduR watch round 3 in slow motion again and you will see what really happened there. Genadi lifted his elbow immediately after realising he wasn't able to pin Dave and Dave was going to push back strongly. I had the same impression as you do when i watched the match, but after seeing it in slow motion that was 100% foul not a pin from Dave. It wasn't foul in loosing position, Genadi fouled when his arm was at wining side of table
10:08 here Genadi says "I'll start now, look what I'm gonna do", then his cornerman requests him to raise his hand and Genadi answers "I don't want it, I'm not tired at all". 13:44 he says "he will snap now, I know". Confidence.
Thank you very much for the beautiful fight to Gennady and Dave, I honestly supported Gena and am glad that he won, thank you for the cool fight, I wish Gennady progress and win Siginashvili again!
@@diggywig2714 no it doesnt lol. Irakli can make Levan work in practice and has pinned him multiple times. Todd Hutchings pulled Devon a few weeks ago and couldnt do anything with him. Todd just killed Irakli 3-0.
@@sapthebee330 also at least a 100 pounds heavier. Levan doesn’t need to be that big since he already has length and height advantage. But Levan is scared that someone close to his size can beat him so he keeps getting bigger
Genadi is a great armwrestler and the best person for armwrestling fans. Congratulations Genadi an thanks for your great performance. გილოცავთ ქართველებო ამ უდიდეს გამარჯვებას. გენადი გილოცავ და მადლობა. ✌️🇬🇪💪
this was a great match, many have put Genadi low in the rankings because he lost to Ermes, but the first match after a long stop is always a tough one, he's now showing his true power, i didn't really know who would win this match, but i felt like it would be a very close one.
What an absolute shocker The match was absolutely wonderful and both of these great athletes are just a pure pleasure to watch, congratulations for Genadi and hopefully Dave will be back stronger
We love you engin, don't stop doing this, dont focus on the hate comments or negetive comments, the people who love you are way more than haters, keep up the good work, cant wait for east vs west 4
@@Librepenseur2007 i never said it was a bad thing, i told him not to focus on those, cause everyone doesnot take them equally, engin was seriously fraustated with negetive comments and he was also talking about stop organizing any more events, do you want that to happen? fuck constructive criticism
@@mrrout1825 probably I have better hope in Engin's character. One of the only way to improve in life is to want to get better. The only way to get better is to know what went wrong. The only way to know how things went wrong... you guessed it, is constructive criticism. Most people who were pissed (I was midly annoyed) was the piss poor pay per view stream from core sports. The event was damn near impossible to watch for lots of people until they took a break to fix the problem. I love Engin like most here, that's why i respectfuly shared that opinion. It is negative, but only shows how with better streaming the event could be even more incredible in the futur. I know Engin is an intelligent and passionnate man. I'm pretty sure he is able to take constructive criticism. Of course, the day of the event it's stressful and you can take things more personal. But I knew the show wasn't going anywhere. But of course I'm very thankfull for Engin and his admirable work.
@@Librepenseur2007 i was pissed at that too, that doesnot mean i would abuse on stream asking for refund, people were literally talking so much shit about engin and the stream. I believe engin is matured enough to take shits untill there is a limit, so instead of talking shits people can complain the same thing with some manner, thats my point
You can cry all you want. I like Dave Chaffee a lot too, but Genadi won fair and square. He was unbelievable in the second part after he changed his game. Also, Dave fouled a good amount too. Great match! Absolutely no stain on Genadi's win, regardless of what some say.
Thank you for a great quality event! So many of these have sounded terrible with horrible camera angles. This one sounds great and has great camera work though. I love the set up as well. Great job! Only thing it's missing is a little more joe rogan esque enthusiasm on the post "fight" translation of what Ganadi said. Otherwise, spot on 👌
But he needed that peak stregth to get those first two pins. Then in the third attempt Genade felt how his stregth was fadinding and bleeded Dave. Genadi is not only a skilled and veteran puller with a wide arsenal of moves which masters, but also very strong (enough to tire Dave). Think that with Kurdecha it went the other way: after every round Dave's was dominating more and more... So Genadi is not only more skilled than Alex but also probably stronger and has more stamina (not a minor fear in a 140 Kg guy). What surprised me the most it that we were told for years that Genadi's inh¡jury in the wrist would make him unable to be in the top 5 again, yet He was able to beat the strongest american puller (probably the second or third strongest in the world) despite that injury.
@@whatsreallygood6278 Just a bit more to get that extra round in the pocket? Possibly... However I agree that its impossible to endure with that explosiveness.
Very surprising match! Reminds me of the old Devon's matches when he didn't do the Queens move and used to make these sort of comebacks. Genadi is a savage!
This was so cool to watch. Something something something Levan something strong something something Devon something. And here comes Sap the BEE saying how strong Levan is. Hi Sap.
Not sure. Ermes curbstomped Genadi, easily taking his hand. Then Genadi stopped and crushed Todd, and now in the third pull vs Dave Genadi was already opening Dave's wrist... Genadi has been improving after two years without competitions, starting with a loww which made him to look weak, and you can argue that Todd is far from being at his best, but beating Dave at his current shape isn't a easy task. I doubt Dave could be much stronger than this, and will never touch Genadi in stamina. Of course Dave would win in a "best of 3" tournament, or maybe in a "best of 5" rematch. But in a "best of 6" supermatch Genadi would win easily...
I watched this again; am I the only one that sees the same situation here, that there was with Devon and Gendai, in regards to shoulders? It might be the angle but shit; Genadi is definitely right shoulder forward in both matches... I understand both Dave and Devon were as well, but why push them back and not Genadi?
@@Apple-International I get your point it was definitely an amazingly entertaining match to watch. I just think the rules were a little flawed. This basically gives anyone the right to purposely foul for a restart whenever their in a bad place, to me that pretty fucking dumb.
@@ioanealavidze4716 True, Dave definently fouled a few times BUT Dave didnt foul in a losing position gaining an advantageous restart like Genadi. That absolutely would have been 3-0 win for Dave in a running foul rule set.
Dave is obviously stronger he just lacks endurance and technicality. John brzenk knows how to transition into a press Dave needs to learn from him then he would be unstoppable.
Stronger back pressure but the hook/press probably is similar between the two. Main difference is Genadi never broke his own arm so is not psychologically unerverd to fully commit if is needed. Tha's probably why Deve didn't want to engage in a hook with Levan.
Dave shouldn't have drank the bottled water after 2 - contains potassium chloride very bad for heart/energy, meanwhile genadi was buidling up adrenaline, heat, friction and anger. Don't sedate yourself w/ consumer goods before you're done.
If only people supporting Dave were objective - Dave keeps elbow fouling whole match and refs didn't call anything. First pin was legit. Second Dave's pin was questionable - very bad camera angle - he might've elbow fouled there but noone on cam could see it. Genadi had to tell the ref that Dave elbow fouled. And the part where Genadi had to tell the ref in the 3rd round that Dave elbow fouled was just incopetence of the ref. The elbow foul from Genadi didn't look intentional - he went to breathe in, Dave pulled and it pulled Genadi's elbow of the table - Also Dave's elbow was off the mat during his drive to the pad in that round. So if you want to be objective - be objective. It was a great match and better man won. We need a 3rd match in a year to determine the winner of this trilogy ;)
Chaffee, you fucking won this on the third pin - and you pinned a dragging slide off the back of the pad elbow cheat - which is UNREAL. Genadi should NOT have been 'saved' from that pin by his own foul - that is total bullshit. Oh yeah, I should mention, I'm Canadian, so I was rooting against you for Devon, but here - I root for fair is fair. This was a fucking robbery. You pinned him three times straight Dave, and SOLIDLY - just like you said you would. Your third pin was the greatest - you pinned him in the middle of his Monster-Todd hanging elbow off the table - winning in spite of his cheating. This clip of you pinning him right thru his cheat should be replayed on loop, everywhere. You just did a 300lb side-pressure pin. End of. Let's get Genadi over here in North America - away from those corrupt referees - none of that Euro-cheat shit will fly here.
