i own that Halloween snowglobe, its really cool to own

I love the fall man its my fav season and Halloween stuff rocks.

I have been rocking the H25 Divimax release for about 18 years, since I stumbled on it at a pawn shop thinking it was a copy of the 25 years of terror documentary. It was the first copy I ever owned, and the first time I saw it in it's proper widescreen format, and I was blown away.

That's a nice Halloween 🎃 media collection. Fun Fact: In the tv cut of Halloween, there is a scene with Jamie Lee Curtis in the 1428 Elm Street house from the original Nightmare on elm street. 😊

My first ever Halloween physical media release was that very Blockbuster Presents VHS that you showed. I still have it. I purchased it after renting it and seeing it. I’ll never forget the very first time I ever saw Halloween. As soon as that music started, I KNEW that I was in for a great movie.

That Halloween 4k was my very first 4k movie when I didn’t even owned a 4k player.

Great collection, man! I've always loved that the blockbuster presents release of Halloween used artwork that they didn't use on any other release of the movie. I have the 30th Anniversary set signed by John Carpenter himself and it' one of my grail items that I have. The first release of Halloween I ever got was the first Anchor Bay VHS release. It is the one from 97, I think. I got it at my local FYE when I was seven or eight and I remember hearing about it and seeing it at my local video store, but I never rented it for some reason. My mom even told me about how much it freaked her out when it first came out. So, I was very excited when I first got it and loved it since the first time I saw it!

The Very first release of John Carpenter’s Halloween that I got was the Halloween 10 disc blu-ray set it was on my birthday back in 2016 and my second one that I got was the Halloween (1978) 4K Re-release from Scream factory over at Best Buy last summer and I was really excited when I bought it. You should do a video of the Halloween II (1981) home video releases. You have a really cool Halloween physical media collection I need to keep trying to upgrade my Halloween physical media collection.

I have the 10 disc set. I felt it was much cheaper and more affordable than the 15 disc set. Nice collection

My first release was the Anniversary VHS, funny story about it too. My mom bought it, thought it was a bad tape because it was in widescreen. The store wouldn't take it back. So she threw the tape in the trash and I picked it out. Before that, I had a tape which had on it the TV versions of Halloween 1, 2 and 3 recorded on it that I watched on repeat. Same with one of Psycho II, III, and IV.

That Blockbuster VHS was the very first home video version of Halloween I ever owned!

Very first edition of Halloween was the original on VHS. I don’t remember how I got it, maybe at Suncoast. However, I remember the original Halloween was the fire dvd I ever bought from Suncoast around Christmas 1999 I think. Ty for the uploads Christian and keep them coming please.

The Very 1st Release I Actually Owned Was The 2007 Anchor Bay Slip Because Untill That Point Being 12 And Only Renting The Extended Edition From Blockbuster 2004 Was The 1st Time I Saw It I Got To Admit I Love The Extended Edition My Extended Cut And My Anchor Bay Is Signed By John Himself

Mine was the 25th anniversary 2 disc DVD set. Its what made me get the rest. However you missed 1 release that back when the original PSP came out some movies were on the UMD disc & the original Halloween was it. I believe to get it now isn't cheep. But if you see it, get it to add with your collection

My very first time seeing for sale and buying Halloween was in 19 97. I believe I had just watched Halloween the Blockbuster edition rented from Blockbuster for the very first time and it fallen in love with it. I watched it twice the first night. Now going back to Suncoast video. A walked right in and the first thing that I saw to my left was a huge display of Halloween number one in the black clamshell from anchor Bay. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen in my life and so of course I've watched that a million times since then. Will also say is that anchor Bay had the little catalogs of movies they had and I never ordered any but it's how I kept up with the movies that I wanted to buy in the future and I made many more trips to Suncoast video and bought so many other horror movies and Halloween is what I always call my gateway drug into horror. Even though I had seen many movies, even The exorcist before that, it opened up a whole new world that I didn't even know existed

The first Halloween I bought on physical media was the Anchor Bay DVD, which I got in 2006. I was disappointed in the cover art at the time, it’s just a head shot of Michael, instead of the classic orange fist/knife/pumpkin, but I’ve gone on to appreciate it being different.

Halloween is my most purchased movie, next would be Ghostbusters and Star Trek TMP. I first got Halloween on DVD from a friend for free when he was getting rid of stuff to have a baby.

I didn’t really start buying dvds regularly until 2018 so that 15 disc was long OOP by the time I was looking for the Halloween movies so I went with the 10 disc. Aside from that set the only halloween movie I bought for myself (other than what I had at my dad place) was the dvd for part 2. I remember I’d hide it in my closet cause my mom HATED slasher movies and I thought she’d take it away if she found it 😂

Hopefully we get the rob zombie movies on 4k this year

The Lionsgate 4K steel book I had a bugger of a time getting it because Canadian Best Buys never got it but Zavvi came to the rescue!

I find the criterion laserdisc and the anchor bay 2 disc dvd set are the editions I watch the most. Screams 4K disc is disappointing for me but still great despite all the issues and flaws. Resolutions helps the most lol

Yo Christian that Halloween criterion collection have u seen the version with the white letters that’s what mine is it’s a lot more bare bones only has the movie and the trailer learned my lesson on paying more attention before I purchase on that one 😂

That Criterion Laserdisc still has the best quality sound mix. Any 5.1, 7.1 or even Mono mix that followed just sucks in comparison. If the Scream Factory 4K or even Anchor Bay/Lionsgate 35th Anniversary had that mini mix, it would be perfect.

I can definitely feel it. Got a new horror T-shirt on the way. I got some new Halloween decor in storage. Got a couple to buy before October....and I'm gonna start my Halloween movie marathon in early August. This year, I'm gonna be watching a Halloween sequel I haven't watched since...I don't even know when. I was gonna say since the early 2000's, back when I video taped it off a VHS tape when it aired multiple times on MTV2 for their Halloween line up. They played it like15 times. But I watched it after that on my computer/DVD back in 2010, 2012....and that is Halloween 5. Last year I watched Halloween 2.....STILL DON'T LIKE IT. Sorry, but I still don't like Halloween 2. Boring as f**k characters. Didn't give a f**k who died. Might as well be literal cardboard cutouts. The only scene that I liked and the only time it FELT like a slasher movie was the therapeutic tub scene. Michael Myers is far too stiff. Laurie is barely in the film. That was always my biggest complaint...but now since I gave it a more recent watch, that's not my only complaint. Come to find out, this was the director's FIRST FILM and you can tell. One of the boring as f**k characters slips on blood and dies...or passes out? I don't remember or care. Non Friday fans "oh the characters are boring or all the same, uninteresting." SERIOUSLY?! Hell, I gave Friday the 13th part 3 a rewatch recently....Chris is a far better final girl then I originally thought. I've always loved Vera and Shelly...and then you got the potheads. Friday part 5...come on, "Solid" "They call me Reggie the Reckless." "Eat your f**king slop!" Ethal, the sheriff. Even the "mean" characters like Melissa from part 7...you love to hate her. She's insecure and bratty. Part 2, Amy Steele....I mean come on. It's Amy f**king Steele!!!!! "oh they made the same movie" you can say that about literally ANY GENRE. ANY movie franchise. But my point is "If I don't give a f**k about the characters....why do I care if they die? Why do I care about ANYTHING?!" And I find this criticism of Friday particularly funny and ironic from Chucky fans. All 3 movies are about what? Chucky trying to steal Andy's soul and trade bodies and about a doll killing people. The only difference between those films is 1.Andy is a child and living with his mom in an apartment. 2.Andy is in the suburbs and living with an adoptive family. 3.Andy is at a military academy..."oh but those films are different" Ya in the exact same way that Friday films are different, lol. Then part 4 Bride of Chucky comes along and RETCONS those 3 films. All of a sudden, Chucky says he can get out of the doll with a necklace he was wearing when he died....then why did those 3 films happen? Why in the first movie did he kill his friend the Voodoo priest? The priest refused to tell him how to get out of the body. And Chucky is Chucky through out the series. We see no difference between Child's play 1 - Cult of Chucky, or even the TV series. Other then his facial scars in part 4. His body language, his personality, his movement, his appearance otherwise never changes. Not so with Jason. I mean I love the Child's play franchise too, but come on. Friday is really no different then any other slasher and or franchise. A couple years ago, like 2017 I gave Halloween 4 a rewatch, long overdue and came to love it again. I know Halloween 5 is known as one of the worse movies in the franchise....I say "Tell that to Mcbride and Green." because from my recollection it's no where near as bad as those movies. As another critic said "f**king hell, Resurrection left the Halloween franchise with more f**king dignity then this "Halloween, no sir, title 2018!" So I hope I enjoy Halloween 5 in the same way that I like Friday part 8 and Nightmare on Elm street part 5. I've always liked Nightmare part 5. I love the characters and the kills and the directing. As far as I can remember. It's been a while since I've seen it. The Halloween films that exist in my universe are part 1, 3, and 4. Maybe part 5, won't know till I rewatch it. Love the shiny Halloween poster for the DVD. Looks awesome. Love the Halloween pumpkin in the background. The franchise always had great Jack o lanterns. ' Love the laserdisc. Sounds great. Looks great. Last year, my dad and step mother got me a Halloween christmas tree. So I am gonna be setting it up, but I got a 3D pen and I made an ornament with it; A facehugger. I did it all within one sitting. From start to finish and it took about 3-4 hours. So I can't wait to see that as an ornament. I tried to do a Suspiria ornament - of the women hanging from the rope in the beginning. I got the rope down, the upper body down...but the face....the face looks HORRIBLE. Faces are incredibly hard. Halloween....I watched Child's play, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on elm street on VHS. For some reason I never watched Halloween on VHS. I only watched it on TV with Joe Bob Briggs and the Scifi channel back in the 90's and early 2000's. All edited and cut up of course. Although I did see part 6 on cable once. It was airing on Halloween night in a marathon. I woke up around like 4 in the morning November 1st and I saw part 6 playing on the TV and it was the very ending. It was the version where Michael has green blood and his face is bashed in. But MTV2 again, had like a 5 days till Halloween marathon where they played Halloween 4 and 5 over and over and over and over again for 5 days straight. So I watched it every time, but then I went "I should record this." so I tape recorded it. Every single time they would cut to MTV2 I would turn the tape off and because I had seen it so often I knew exactly when they would cut back to MTV2 and when they would cut back to the film. So I would time it each time so I didn't have to see all the MTV2 stuff. I only let the MTV2 Head banger's ball Halloween segment slide once for nostalgia. So that's my "home video" experience of Halloween. My pumpkins are growing more and more. I check it out every morning when I wake up. I got one Pumpkin flower that looks ready to start blossoming a pumpkin. Can't wait till it opens and starts growing.
