This match is one of many examples that wrestling can be anything, wrestling isn't all just five star matches, it's about entertaining the audience and fans at home, and sometimes people need matches like these, creative, funny, and nostalgic to some people, I'm sure this is 5 stars to many people
I remember watching this with my son and it was just so fun to watch. It will be something everyone will remember.. nothing like it. What a loss bray brought something original.
I’m one of those guys who never got Bray Wyatt, but the FFH match was the closest I came to liking his stuff. Now that he’s gone, I’m kind of on a Bray renaissance and I’m seeing IT, now. RIP ✊🏻
I cannot watch Mania 36 due to no audience, it just feels off but I will watch the Firefly FunHouse and the BoneYard Match as they actually felt like something a audience would see
They actually do. It's been on record proving that they have a ton of their old set displays and even some WCW display sets in their warehouse. They also have legendary wrestling gear and titles stored there.
Yeah if you watch RU-vid you can find a video of them doing a tour around the warehouse and you can still see the fist and it's actually a mould of the big shows fist by the way
WELP...🤷♂️ "THANK GOD WE DON'T HAVE TO SEE THE RANDOM BS AGAIN" Right? It was the most cringiest PG era 💩 they EVER did. and ALOT OF YALL will just agree with ANY decision they make like "It makes sense because 🤓" 🤦♂️😂😂😂
As different as the match was, I thought this was one of the most fun I’ve seen in a match and you could see how much creativity Bray had with his material. RIP Bray Wyatt!
@@radicalstanza3614 Cena likely wrote it with Bray Wyatt. When superstars figure out how their match goes, they communicate it with each other and mutually decide on spots. Cena admitted in this interview he didn't even know what a Funhouse Match was. The only way he could really sell it is by writing the match with the guy whose gimmick it is.
Shows the intelligence Cena has for the business tbh, made the best of a bad situation and took the opportunity to let Windham’s creative genius loose and it couldn’t have been better, we all miss you Windham
When Wrestlemania 2020 came around, I was in isolation because of covid, couldn't be around anyone and felt miserable. When this came on though, for 15 minutes I forgot about everything else and stood in my room in awe. That's why I'll always love this match, Bray (RIP) and Cena
Is it still free to watch? I remember hearing that it was free to watch from my family because of the pandemic, so I'd like to know if it still is/ever was. I stopped watching wrestling altogether around that time, so I never got to watch it
Brays creative mind for wrestling only comes once in a lifetime. This man was every bit as dedicated to his character as the undertaker and every bit as good as tweaking and adding layers to it and even reinventing it as Jericho. Maybe even moreso. RIP Bray.
We don't need to be Nostradamus to see that John Cena was going to bury Bray Wyatt a third time. First time was after the Wyatt Family beat The Shield and Cena just never gave Bray a singles win by pin or submission. Only by Bray leaving the cage by outside interference by a child. 2nd time was after Chris Jericho tried to save his heel heat, Cena beat him again and put salt in the wound by throwing him in a mud bath.
My favorite story moment from Mr windham. And this match that I have been thinking about this for the last four years. I think in reality was a good reflection on Mr John Cena’s career and to see every thing that he has accomplished in his legendary career.
"IT'S SUCH GOOD SH**!" - Mr. McBoss...😆 I remember being over at my neighbors' house watching WM & this match on PPV, and we were just laughing and saying "WTF???" during the whole course of the match! 😂 The cinematic aesthetic (much like Taker's "Boneyard Match" vs AJ Styles on that same card) was a clever touch, being that they didnt have a live audience there in attendance during COVID! I hope they do more similar-style cinematic matches somewhere down the line, just to see how a live audience reacts to it! (I felt they should've done one @ last year's WM in Hollywood...) RIP Bray!☝️You were a one-in-a-million talent! "THAT'S RIGHT, BIG DADDY!!" 😁
Fact bray and John got down and decide together about what to use and etc. Shows how good bray was at creating and evolving all the other wrestlers may he know he was loved by many of millions of his fireflys
Would love to see more matches like this. I enjoyed the creativity and was entertaining. Something like this ever few months or so, give fans the feeling that anything can happen
Arguably last great moment of bray's career. I hate to say it but his booking sucked. His booking isn't what deserves to be in the Hof its the man behind it. Cause career wise idk if he's Hof material i genuinely don't it's so inconsistent and when it was bad it was horrific and not the way Bray wanted. HIAC 19 always springs to mind. Like AEW just started weekly TV the previous Wednesday and that's how Vince responded?? No wonder they got so hot in the beginning and I'd argue is what led to wrestling being "cool" again. Don't watch hate it but AEW deserve flowers for being the catalyst
Hot take cinematic matches were the dumbest idea for any promotion to come up with... The idea of wrestling is the illusion of reality but if you make a cinematic style of match you remove the illusion all together and straight up say "YUP THIS IS AN ACT" yes wrestling is fake but the idea is to make it feel real
And this is what a lot of the current fans don't understand. Wrestling is and has been so much more than just what happens in the ring. The build up, the characters, even the writing. All these efforts and feats get overshadowed by in-ring ability, or wanting the most physical match. And not that those things aren't to be praised. But there's just more to it
Windham’s death was one of the most shocking. I still can’t believe he’s gone. He brought me back into wrestling after barely watching since the Attitude Era. RIP Windham Rotunda
I haven’t seen the match, but I honestly think what they did was better than if they had an actual match. They had that match at WM 30. This was something so creative and different.
That was the greatest match in my opinion for cena and Bray Wyatt they fixed the WrestleMania 30 mess up they did and they made a great amazing match 😀
Bray was a legend. Cena, Alexa Bliss, LA Knight and even teaming with Jeff Hardy; Bray brought out the best in people and storyline even if the storylines weren't always great
as twisted as it sounds, im grateful for the pandemic era because i really dont think this type of match could work any other way and it became one of my favorite matches ever and it really showcased their creativity. i remember people being conflicted or confused when it happened but it really is a masterpiece
Reminds me of episode 5 of Life is Strange.. well the “this is your life” segment of that episode. The concept and execution was so fun…. For a moment, you forgot that we were watching a wrestling show with the world in a spiral
To hear, that this was John Cenas Plan and it looked like a "Back to the Past" thing. It was...crazy! Crazy and cool. It was such a creative, funny and awesome way for this Match. Props on John Cena for doing this match. R.I.P Bray Wyatt.
I’m sorry, but I don’t believe for a second that Cena wrote this match. Probably his involvement with co-writing from Bray. But the Firefly Funhouse was Bray’s brainchild. Absolutely 0% chance John wrote the match “start to finish” lol
