Very nice chemistry. Great Interview. Well worth watching. John Cleese is a very genuine person. He" matters".So few do, really in his business.

As interesting as John Cleese was in the interview, actually, for once, I'd say the woman interviewing him was excellent as well. Top notch interviewer.

Americans trying to say it the British way still project the sound downwards from the top of the mouth - to get the true British "awwww" effect the air has to travel flat across the bottom of the mouth. Lawwwwwww.

John's had such an amazing career. He's really a very lucky man, but also an extremely intelligent and talented man. Lol, I just love all things Python.

Yes, but only the best make it. It was talked about in the Fry and Laurie Reunion documentary, when they talked about how people think the Cambridge Footlights Club is a sort of fast lane to acting fame, when in reality, for every John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Robert Webb or David Mitchell there are many, many of people who never made it.

The arts as a whole; fine art, music, and theater, are conducive to romance. But it has its dark side as well, as all things do. The arts tends to attract wounded, sensitive people, who are magnets for sociopaths who prey on them. Art isn't just about sitting down and making something good; it's also about survival. It's a constant fight just to make the right environment in which to make art. In many ways it's just as dangerous as going into combat. I've been beaten unconscious and I've known young artists who went down a dark path and died, but as John Cleese pointed out in this interview, when you sell a painting, sell out a concert hall, or get that big laugh, it feels like somebody loves you. Art is really about acceptance. Why else would Neil Diamond have dedicated, and even risked his life to a profession that brings out the best in the audience that Cleese mentions, in a world full of wars?

Yes, but from the Footlights, if John Cleese hadn't made it as a comic actor, he'd probably have been a top criminal QC or something....laughing gayly as he told the court that Harold Shipman 'accidentally' injected 150 old people with overdoses.
