I love how Darkseid has near total victory over the Justice League. And one drunken British magician just wings his way through everything and sends Darkseid's whole plan to the scrap heap.

Constantine is basically the Batman of magic-users. He always plans ahead and always have something up his sleeve.

Constantine's powers are like Batman's..... He can do whatever the plot needs.

The techno magic scene is especially brilliant because it's basically like saying "Here's a problem magic can't solve" and Constantine is just like "Ok, but what if I fix it with magic?"

I like how Batman is just standing on the side, probably thinking "I literally just have an expensive suit, what the hell am I doing here?"

I never knew how much I needed John and Raven doing magic together until now.

Constantine is literally when you max out Intelligent stats and charisma stats in your DND and play a chaotic neutral style.

John's range of Magical abilities is impressive.

Both Raven and John chanting that spell that Raven always uses puts nostalgia in my heart. I remember Raven from back in the Teen Titans days. I love magic

I like that when they reuse spells they don’t make up new gibberish for John and actually use the same spell.

In the Vertigo comics, John was more of a Gandalf. Big displays of energy and booming incantations weren't John's toolkit. His magic was subtle and quiet, and mostly used the Synchronicity Highway that his family was heir to.

Am I the only one who thinks that this animation version of Constantine is sooo handsome?? idk why. And I also love his powers. I just find him hot and cool at the same time. Hope it's not just me. 😥

Casting Mat Ryan for both Live and Animated Constantine is on par with Kevin Conroy being Old Man Bruce Wayne back in Crisis. It's some of the best work ever. Screw any "just fan service" Bullshit. IT WAS AMAZING

The incantation he says a 0:24 is in Danish / Swedish or Norweigan. I can legit hear him saying "Jeg kan tage kontrollen, så jeg betsemmer" . Which translates to "I can take the controle, so I am in charge". Pretty cool

His cheating practical badass attitude and cunningness makes him the makes him awesome character

Tbh, i think constantine is the most powerful hero in the DCAMU. Not for his raw strength, or even his magical power (which is only according to the universe, falling behind zatanna and raven, even swamp thing and etrigan) but for his sheer versatility and utility with his summonings and magical items and tools, and being clever enough to use them effectively

i like how the spell that makes them invisible is him pulling out some glasses and snapping them and probably saying like "disappear" or "invisible" and the symbol of snapping glasses is like "vision no more" - its so small but the idea of a spell being just making a gesture to represent the outcome is my fav way of writing magic systems-

i loved how when the world needs help they call the justice league and when they need help they get the bat family and when THEY need help they call john constantine

If you need visual inspiration for D&D spells then this is a perfect source, especially for Minor Illusion and Firebolt.

I do enjoy how unique the using of magic is by Constantine. You know... there's always something different and he knows an array of spells with different visuals as well. Usually you see Zatanna just doing a shield, or shooting a beam, I think every other magic user usually just... shoots a damn beam. Constantine at the very least you don't even know what he's gonna cast.

I love how his magic requires components, don't see that very often.

Is it just me or do John and Dr. Fate have similar fighting styles with their magic based attacks? I'd imagine John would be a lot more creative with his tactics while Dr. Fate focuses on ending the fight as fast as possible.

The thing that makes Constantine (even in animated form ) sometimes more appealing than Dr strange in MCU, is that atleast we get to see Constantine chanting the spell and casting it in a way such that audience understand what's the logic behind it, such as that scene of techno magic, Constantine gives a little vague line of what he is doing. Dr strange 1 managed to achieve it through making shapes and showing different spells, but didn't explained the mechanics of it, the scene of where he learns to use time stone was the best as it's the first time only we are seeing him reading instructions and subsequently seeing the shapes formed, but dr strange 2 took the magic aspect very lightly and showed it just like any other cgi effect, it didn't used magic at its core, rather just used it to make colourful lights, the comics actually go into depth of how Stephen acquires certain spells, and how he casts them. The only scenes in which the mechanics of Stephen's spell are explained when he first uses time stone, when he bargains, and when he casts the forgetting spell in nwh, others are just him playing with colourfull light.

Wish dc would put his r rated glory in theatures hes like a detective who uses magic instead of guns would make a cool mystery

As a lover of the Marvel Universe since I was a child, I have to say that Constantine is better than Doctor Strange. (More powerful? I don’t know, and I don’t want to debate it. Better personality and cooler looking effects? Yes. I will also not debate this)
