I love how his powers are counterbalanced by his imaturity. I mean he's still frightening. But a child. A frightening child. A regular child. With dark eldritch magic
And that what makes him both amazing and frightening! He's a brat, but is still a brat with a lot of power. That is a f-cked up potent mix (and super-powered bratty kids is a common horror trope for good reason). 0_0
And because being a chaos lord makes you chaotic and dumb I meant that being a chaos lord and not just immediately destroying everything is more fitting for the name and the other ones were just evil and powerful beings.
@@calcium_skeleton not necessarily. The "girl" was a pretty smart, vicious and competent chaos lord. She made her anchor out of something near indestructible, was such a menace the Fate and the magic task force had to backup Klarion because he was the lesser evil. And even with just her own powers she was more effective than Klarion.
Klarion has proven time and time again he's capable of empathy, friendship and genuine care. When you take a deep look at his relationships with Vandal Savage, Teekl and even Abra Kadabra, you can see he isn't pure evil like many believe. I think that Vandal Savage has helped change Klarion for the better, even if he's still clearly quite evil.
Yeah you do have to admit they do a great job with the credits some are kinda weird like the one where you stare at lobos dead decapitated finger in the rain but overall kinda charming
@@necfreon6259I mean in the next few episodes we get to see Baby Lobo cake, and there’s the payoff of an after credit scene being the finger waking up as a mini-lobo
@@phoebusapollo8365 huh wow a mini lobo that is fucking weird and potentially terrifying considering this version of lobo’s track record in young justice of the rare few times he shows up he destroy the hero’s harder then shredder does the turtles in TMNT 2012 baring that 1 time he technically got tricked into thinking he got his target in season 3 but that’s through no fault of his own
I love how Klarion shows that chaos isn't good or evil. Tbh, I love characters that aren't bound to the whole good/evil stereotype. The Lords of Chaos and Order balance each other. Chaos doesn't always equal evil and Order doesn't always equal good. There is chaotic good and orderly evil.
love how Klarion is so powerful and so old yet also so childish its like he's stuck with the mind of a 10 year old or something plus he loves his cat so he isn't all bad lol.
What I’m more surprised is the warm relationship with savage and him considering apparently at one point he killed his whole village for a laugh I mean I guess savege being more immortal then perpetuals from warhammer 40k helps I guess being like whatever i have infinite time or whatever but I’m not sure how he got the relationship going from there I mean did klarion try to kill him but couldn’t because vandal is unkillable and then klarion is like oh shit your a fellow immortal I guess we can be friends or some shit happens
@@necfreon6259 he also tortured Savage for many days after killing his whole village while I get that Savage may have realised that Klarion is unkillable so he figured if you can't beat them Joint them. but I 'd have to imagine that kinda past would make any partnership very very awkward lol.
@@necfreon6259 Its the nature of a universe like DC or Marvel where you have no consistent writers. One day your comic is being made by Stan Lee with one interpretation of a character next its being written by someone else with a new awesome twist then followed immediately by a movie that has no idea how to write the character but then suddenly the game writers hit it out of the park. Its so ever changing that there is never really a definitive "best". Klarion is a great example of a character who never really hit it off until Young Justice found the perfect writer to complement the perfect voice to create a dynamic character people like.
the lad's a gag character he's almost impossible to kill and is definitely evil but he also has too much fun causing trouble so he wouldnt dare destroy the world its like keeping spiders in your house to eat the flies
I'd completely forgotten how much I loved seeing Klarion showing up in Young Justice when I was younger till I saw this. Pretty sure he's my favorite character in the whole show and I've only just now realised it.
That's the fun thing about the Lords of Order and Chaos in DC. They're not actually heroes or villains. They just sorta fall in line with them most of the time because of their natural dispositions. Klarion is a Lord of Chaos. He's not evil. He's chaotic. He's not doing things for a nefarious end. He's doing things just to fuck with people and make things interesting. He has his fun and leaves. He gets angry when his fun is interrupted. But he'll fuck with villains just like he will heroes. He's more often on the sides of villains though because they tend to be naturally chaotic. The opposite of Doctor Fate, a Lord of Order. Doctor Fate isn't a Hero. He's not a force of good. He's a force of Order. While he does tend to ally with heroes, he's also opposed them when it comes to enforcing order as a whole. Where Klarion is interesting because he's kind of quirky and funny since he's so chaotic, Doctor Fate is a little unnerving, you never quite know how things are going to play out when he shows up. Does he lock the villain up? Does he kill them? Does he banish them forever? Does he give control back to his host or does he forcibly keep control of their body to enforce order?
Lmao fr, u can tell that somewhere along the line they decided to go more mature. But what bothers me about this show is that in the later seasons the pacing and the dialogue still feels like a kids show but it has the violent stuff yk. It just felt like they couldn't chose and as an older viewer is was unbearable to watch at times
@@stargazzerr I don’t mind it that much its not much different to stuff like avatar the last airbender Star Wars the clone wars and of course justice league nothing I’m not used to
I love that because he’s a chaos lord he sows chaos which is seen as “evil” but really he’s just doing what the universe made him to do. Like he’s not above asking Hero’s for help or helping other hero’s
@@lyzhongo5766 The lords of Order, maybe, but Doctor Fate is _much_ more limited. (I'm assuming they are referencing comics Wanda, MCU is simply at a way lower powerscale.)
@@somdudewillsonso are the DC heroes compared to their comics and more often than not DC is a level above Marvel in power scaling and comparing usually isn’t fair
@@53Spawn real bro, I just want to see a piece of DC animated media where Jason isn't just "the antagonist character for when we have a Bat Fam movie". I was so hyped to see him be in a DC animated series but NOOOOOO! Let's cut the show off before Jason can be fully reintroduced to everyone AND before he can start The Outlaws with Roy Harper/Arsenal! **Kicks rocks**
“Bus bus you knew I meant bus” which is even funnier because Tekal actually knew he meant bus or he wouldn’t of corrected him 😂😂😂 everyone else usually looks confused and Tekal corrects him
I just love how the magicians powers are just outright broken like they can do such amazing things by speaking words backwards yet have such little control they can’t really amount to much on their own lol
Yeah Zattanas spells are backwards written, said forwards. (For example a spell like "shield us all" is "dliehs su lla" not "lla su dliehs") Klarion doesn't really need to do that to cast spells. (One of his spells in the earlier season was "employees must wash their hands") but he does it when fighting Zatanna because he's a troll. Though in the last clips they just played a recording of his voice backwards. Other times he said them like Zatanna does.
@@taylorhillard4868 isn’t backwards said in reverse like true magic whilst just the backwards thing Is like baby magic I swear I remember hearing something like that described before
@@necfreon6259 no, Klarion just calls it "baby magic" because she has to use an incantation. To Klarion and incantation is like training wheels for spellcasting. He only ever does it when he's making fun of Zatanna or hamming it up for gits and shiggles.
funny how Klarion always brought Teekl with him anywhere he went acting cocky that no one would figure out the fact that was his familiar, but the moment he knows someone figures it out he runs off. Smart move would have been to keep Teekl somewhere safe.
I agree so hard. That was **not** okay. DC really needs to stop fridging women and finding ways to sneak various types of abuse, such as unnecessary animal abuse, into their stories..
@@Artryom You were glad when they brutally killed a cat? You seriously just going to admit your psychosis online like that? Or are you a wannabe edgelord trying to be dark in a pathetic attempt at being a troll?
God I love Klarion so much. he's so adorable and silly. I wish this show showed him being a thorn in Jason Blood's side like he is in the og comics. He just casually breaks into his house to steal food and bring his problems to Blood, while calling him Uncle. It was cute. Also he delusionally proclaimed himself Etrigan's enemy, which would have been peak to see in this show. He's just so funny.
It'd have been funny if he teleported away at the end and you could just hear a very faint "dang it!" In the distance, just like what happened the last time he tried teleporting in Fate's tower.
8:20 "This is a kids show btw" It stopped being a kids show by season 3 when they were removed from Cartoon Network and put on the DC streaming service that failed. They went edgy along with the live action teen titans that also didn't do well.
@@StarkSpider24FOR REAL I was so excited for the YJ comeback and then the random edgelord violence slowly killed my interest until I forgot I had even dropped the show. The shit they did with violet was just naseating-- and I LIKE gore. The cheesy kid's narrative doesn't suddenly become mature when you drop gruesome torture into it, it just becomes a cheesy kids narrative with an adults only rating.
@@cassiacana5335YES THANK YOU that was my biggest complaint with the more "mature" seasons! Like they added in more blood and gore but it did nothing to improve the show, the plots, pacing, tone and dialogue still felt like I was a kid being talked down to by the show yk
When ever I see the scene where Klarion says: "We're going to have so much fun" I always have the feeling that the cat is thinking "Oh God, what have I got myself into?"
I mean, she technically doesn't have to speak to use her magic. It's more an additional thing. Technically she could cast her spells without it it's just they won't be as good.
Hes so childish and a brat, goddamnit he makes it hard for me to hate him cause hes too iconic and hilarious ❤ and hes a cat person, i love him now ✨️💗
He is very much the strongest character in the setting, the comics even imply that he and the other Lords very technically ARE stronger than the New Gods, but the New Gods have fewer restrictions on their powers. It's just Klarion has none of the normal ones save that his familiar remains mortal.
"WHO DARES SUMMON THE ALMIGHTY... oh it's you guys... WHAT DO YOU WANT?" - Klarion. love this guy, sadly you need a Randal Savage level of intelligence to use him as a chess piece, something Zatanna surely lacks.
I feel as an agent of chaos, Klarion is highly misunderstood. Sure. He's chaotic. But sometimes chaos is necessary for change. Something that those who uphold strong moral values are incapable of doing because of their self-righteous beliefs. Kalrion embodies necessary evils. Doing the dirty work/things that nobody else likes doing, yet is something that has to be done in the end. But beneath the surface of it all, I feel like Klarion is as much human as anyone else. And this is evident in the way he jokes around, and make light of the situation he's in, no matter how dire. It's as if it's a farcry from him needing a friend, but yet no one will ever understand his nature, and the way he does things.
@@Evil_Beauty Not to mention that there wouldn't be chaos without order. The reason why Klarion hasn't destroyed the earth yet is because he needs it to keep using it as his own playground. It's like with a woodsman. You can't cut trees down to make firewood or furniture if there are no trees left to cut down.
@@cinthiacruzado2594 I'm pretty sure the concept of chaos predated well before order was established within the hierarchical cosmic universe. Before order was conceptualized, every living being that was thrown into the universe literally had to struggle to survive by whatever means necessary all on their own. Even if it led to chaos, and destruction of the universe in the end. It was literally a wild jungle that of kill-or-be-killed, something that later eventually shaped humanity's morality over time as a result of having been exposed to the many harsh challenges, obstacles, trials and tribulations that opened their minds to the possibility that something exists more than simply chaos itself. This is literally no different in the way our species operate in the real world. Our species matured, and gain introspection of ourselves that led to better development as a whole. Think of it as taming an undomesticated wild animal who grew up in a jungle knowing only how to kill to survive, and nothing else. Only through gaining an epiphany does that wild animal begin to change its ways, and develop character development in improving itself. And once it has achieved that epiphany, order 'n everything else will soon follow into place. As all things should be. P.S. My stance on the matter of this, is that I believe chaos will win itself in the end. Because chaos' entire niche, and main purpose is bringing about the inevitable end to all things. Returning everything back to what it once was. And that being nothingness. What starts from nothing, ends in nothing. Chaos' whole ideal was never about triumphing order as if it were a competition. Their whole shtick was about breaking the monotonous cycle once 'n for all, and returning everything back into a state of absolute nothingness, as it should be. Chaos knows that order cannot last forever. The more order tries to maintain stability through its rigid ideology, the greater it will lead itself to inevitable self-destruction of its own creation.
It would be good if it wasn't cancelled. There were about a trillion plot lines that needed to be finished, and too many characters to keep track of. There were so many characters that you had to say "
