I wasn't convinced of Corabi at the beginning but after listening to the album twice it was clear to me how wrong I was at the beginning. The album with John Corabi is my favorite MC album today
I also really enjoyed New Tattoo without Tommy. Crack a Smile, the last good Poison album is also a gem minus CC. I guess the new members or lack of certain dynamics resulted in very solid albums.
Bought this album in 94. Did not like it. Tried and tried but it wasn’t what I knew of Motley. Sold the cd to a used cd store. Bought Red White and Crue and really grew to like the 94 songs. Now 26 years later I want the cd again!
StangQuest94 same thing happened to me. I liked it but Corabi and me agreed on the last time I talked to him... the project should have been called something else, not Mötley Crüe.
Thank you, John, for one of my FAVORITE records in my life; Too Fast, Dr Feelgood of course,, but I just love your record, I sent away for the bonus disc Quaternery, I value it so much because I sent away for it and it actually came back, LOVE you and those discs, LOVE that record and the bonus, LOVE your Dead Daisies material, GOSH you're a Hero!! \m/
He’s great! If they would’ve called the band something other than Motley Crue, I think they could have done some amazing things together. The one album they did do has some great songs on it.
John Corabi said in an interview that they wanted to use a different name and they had even started throwing in ideas for a name but the label didn't let them. Motley had just signed a new contract and got a few millions in advance and the label was afraid that with a different name, they wouldn't sell as many records and tickets.
John is a great singer! They should have changed the fuckin name back in the day, cause It really wasn't Motley anymore. It was something maybe better, but not Motley.
@@CarlosLiveMetalTV It's all about the power of the name. Axl never had to play clubs like many of his peers were forced to because of the name Guns N Roses. That's why bands fight so hard for the rights. No way a different name would have resulted in bigger sales for the Corabi album. The prime selling days for the genre were gone when it came out. It's a damn shame though, its a gem.
...SONG OF THE DAY!!!
Saw him at a local venue. He was in a band called the Dead Daisies. They were great. I was a huge Crue fan and loved this album. A lot of long time fans refused to hear it. Don't get me wrong though I wanted Vince in the band again.
SitecoreRunner Corabi is great. That Crüe album with him is very good it just sounds different. I talked to him about that and said that the band should’ve been called something else... and he agreed. Thanks for watching and commenting. Besides a greatest hits disc (I have owned the entire Motley catalog a couple of times and love 90% of their music), but Motley '94 sticks with me. As a 14 year old at the time of its release, Motley '94 it is one if a handful of musical efforts that continues to grow with me. I like every song more every time I listen to any one. Besides being a disc full of quality songs, John has a voice that has the gravity of a mountain.
Met him with the Dead Daisies , John is way better more versatile than Neil ever has been, it's all about timing, He left the Daisies I was.bumbed but they have Glen Hughes so there still awesome, miss Corabi
@@michelelaraia7358 It’s part of his routine. Not everybody can watch every show. I don’t know, I like an artist that interacts with the audience. Thanks for watching.
@@CarlosLiveMetalTV that should also be.and there are also singers whom you can depend every single word of their mouth.Any case,I always love Hooligan's holiday,in spite of the title.RIP Franco Battiato.
Motley Crue was always awesome but when this cat started singing with Motley Crue they hit an all-time high because John you could sing your fucking ass off
I usually get bored quick with youtube vids but your good story teller. We all deeply miss Chris but you should step in for Soundgarden keep them alive for the fans. Why not? Life's short we're not getting any younger. What's the difference, we'll all be dead soon anyway, why not rock out with them...lol
