@@ErikZangron Yes Sir :) Illinois 1982 we has to pass it to graduate. That is GREAT your daughter answered them all like that. Give her a high five for me :)
unfortunately the lack of education of Americans is very... American. Ever watch the classic 12 Angry Men? It was the guy from Europe that knew the law and what made America a beacon of freedom to the world more than the actual americans... Our ignorance and descent into an idiocracy is engineered by the Globalists.
Sam Adams was John’s cousin. He also represented Massachusetts in the Continental Congress and signed the Declaration of Independence, making him a Founding Father as well. Guys you need to go back to school
Wow, I don’t remember that being said in the movie. I knew the answer but not because of the movie. I just remember that daylight savings time was mentioned and thought that was really neat. I didn’t realize that part of history which is probably why it stuck with me.🤓
Can we just give this test to everyone and remove citizenship from those who fail? Something is very wrong with our education system. Bring back civics and actual history classes please.
I screamed more at the screen to try to help more than at the Superbowl. Your willingness to do this is big and it was funny. I knew exactly why he said the flag knitter... Susan B Anthony and Betsy Ross both have the letter b and are women. So confusing right.. lol. Love you guys.
This is sad. Tbh, I had some difficulty with a couple of the questions, but the bigger concern is that to gain citizenship you only need to answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly?! How does that qualify anyone to be a citizen?! Why don't they teach us things that will help us in the future?! Not just some names.
The kicker is that so many of us did not know these answers before we became homschool teachers. For immigration- we need different questions... maybe some about loyalty to the success of United States?
Actually... my wife and I are BOTH American AND Canadian citizens... sorry to say, we didn't even consider it. Until seeing it listed. So... last! Yikes. I've even been into Alaska a bit (by bus; into the southwest tip from Northern B.C. (that's British Columbia; my home province... haha). Major brain fart. We live in PA now... so, my mind has been "easternized". Am I a Yankee?!! (My parents grew up in Texas. I'm so confused.)
Most people that went through public school would fail this. I know I almost did. Should have been home schooled glad my daughter wants to homeschool my grandbabies.
When I was answering before listening to their responses, I got Idaho! It’s just that it’s only a small part of Idaho that is touching from a map point of view. (I love your pfp btw)
My test for getting into America: What is the first amendment? What is the second amendment? What is the fourth amendment? What is the 5th amendment? Why are there 50 stars on the US flag? What do the red stripes represent on the US flag? What do the white stripes represent on the US flag? What year did the United States declare independence? Why is it important for citizens to have firearms? Who was the first president of the United States? What is the supreme law of the land in the US? How many branches of government are there?
For some reason, I thought it would be multiple-choice. The question about the bifocals definitely should be multiple-choice! LOL For some reason this reminds me, are you smarter than a fifth grader.
Let me just say, you guys are lucky, you were born in the US of A 🤣🤣 I took the citizenship 32 years after immigrating as a kid, passed it with no problem.
I’m so bummed my husband and I missed you in Mobile. It was our 1st anniversary and I was sick… couldn’t go.😢 Been looking for content from that night and can’t find it
Wow, the amount of people who don’t know their history is shocking. These guys not knowing the president during the civil war or who created the flag, when the Declaration was signed is very pathetic. Seriously, I am very disappointed in you guys.
Betsy Ross was Responsible for working her fingers to the bone sewing the first version of the US flag in her tiny Philly house (def. go visit) but it was Polish General Tadeusz (Thaddeus) Kościuszko (koh-shh-choo-shhh-koh) who was responsible for helping the US beat the British in the Revolutionary war and was chosen to design the American flag which is based off of Coat of arms of the Sandomierz Voivodeship, in Poland- (go visit there too!)
The Cold War was about a potential nuclear war. Russia had nukes and we did, too. Because we both had them, neither of us wanted to use them because the other would attack right back. I grew up in Huntsville which was #3 on the list if something were to happen. There were fallout shelters throughout the city.
No, the test key is correct. Nukes were weapons in the arsenal of the cold war, but the cold war was not ABOUT nukes. It was about the spread of communism. Starting during WWI in Russia, communists vowed to spread revolution throughout the world until the entire globe was united in communism. The other powers opposed this, and after WWII only two global powers remained: the USA and USSR. The USA assumed the role of containing communism everywhere around globe since no one else could do it. That's why the US has so many military bases around the world. What made the cold war cold and prevented the two powers from colliding directly was the threat of mutually assured destruction by nukes. But what was being fought over was ideology.
WOW.....John doesn't know who the POTUS was during the Civil War? .....Guess Homeschooling is no better off than a public education. 🤣 Here's a hint John: Look at any penny coin made from 1909 to 2009. :) BUT, I GIVE YOU PROPS for putting yourself out like this (so exposed) on the air and live. I wouldn't have the courage to do that. A FOR EFFORT (AND COURAGE)!!
My husband took this test in 1992, at age 31. He already had a U. S. Social Security card, and bought 2 homes, had a job since age 15. When he took the test, he didn’t study, he told the immigration employee that if he failed it was because of his education in the United States 😂😂, since his family moved back to the states when he was 3 😂😂 His parents are from Tennessee and Texas, they lived in Canada when he was born and didn’t register his birth as a U.S. citizen.
Hm,.think John needs to visit his homeschooling years a bit, wow. I mean, I sometimes get a tad confused, but uh, come on, bud, you gotta do better than that! But I'm curious, is the actual immigration test short answer or multiple choice? And do they have study materials like the DMV has so it narrows down the information for you? I would hope so!
My mom at age 68, and dad at age 76 passed this test after living in US for 5 years. They spoke or understood English prior to arriving as Christian refugees to USA
Thats strange, i know i subbed over a year ago and when i saw a notification today i was shocked that you've put out so many videos but i never got notifications for so long. Anyone else stop getting notifications??🤔
