John Deere 24T Hay Baler Inspection Video 

hello Shawn I need to know if you can give information about the same square baler. my father has the same machine but he is having problems with the needles, they are broken all the time. he don't know what is the cause of this problem. or how to prevent this problem. I hope you can help me.

Had a 24t with a Wisconsin 2cylender motor. Best memories I have with my dad was haying.

Good video one thing to add check the plunger bearings if the plunger moves side to side you will be shearing fly wheel pins like crazy.

Just done a bit of a restoration on Dads 24T and got it running for the 1st time in 14yrs. Had AWFUL trouble getting timing correct despite having the original owners manual. Found another scrap/parts value baler and noticed lots of wear in our knitter teeth in comparison, swapped out and fixed timing issues mostly next were tucker fingers were twisted and over extending.... anyhow long story FINALLY got it sorted and running and baled over 450 bales. Question is, parts. Here in Australia parts are about as rare as hens teeth, were can we find parts in the future short of cannibalising the limited parts left on the scrap value baler.

Could you just paint the slide bridge pads yellow to find them as well?

You are correct about the chain on the clutch getting stretched. It Throws everything out of time

Need to time my jd bale

DO you have a video on how to put in Twine on the 24T. We are baling hay for the first time and have no idea how to install the twine correctly.

How do you time a JD baler. I have a 216 and have been running it for years but have never had to time it. noel
