Had my d105 for a a few months, bought second hand, and at first the accelerator pedal operated as it should, but with today max engine speed, idle wouldn’t move mower forward like usual and a full depress of the pedal yielded 1-2 mph only. I found the belt rubbing the spring as it was routed incorrectly making contact with it. I’m hoping that replacing this spring and the belt will fix my issue. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, for figuring out a way to compress the spring, every other video has you dropping transmission. So much easier your way!, I'm back in operation.
Had a broken spring and no cap on my elderly friends jd. Wouldn't have been able to install the new spring without your compression trick. Luckily I have small hands, too😊. Fixed it while it was on the ground. Only busted 1 knuckle 😂. Thanks!
That looks like the spring I found on the ground and the cup washer that goes over the top. I could not engage forward gear and seen the spring on the ground. I’m guessing there is a nut over that , I can not find the nut but the cup washer was sitting on the yellow deck with part of the broken spring. I’ll need a nut and a new spring. Thanks for showing this and hope it fixes my problem
@@WeekendHobbyMechanicI had the Spring and cup washer replaced over Xmas but there is a catch , here in Australia they don’t sell the spring and cup washer separately, it’s only sold as the complete pulley system. Hence my pulley system was replaced at $300 for the pulley system plus labour
All I have is a part number for the clutch, spring and belt: MIA12482 Do a Search on amazon for : General Transmissions Secondary Pulley RT400 GT79244 - MIA12482.
My D105 selector switch is tough to get into reverse, but it will go in reverse and move but the selector switch will not go into forward and it does not move forward. What should I look at first? Thanks.
@@WeekendHobbyMechanic yeah I was thinking that or maybe just my drive belt needs replacement. I'll try to come back and post whatever the outcome was once I get it fixed.
Is there an adjustment on the drive belt pulley bracket? Since i have replaced my john deer 125 with a new drive belt and pulleys the mower has no power Anymore i replaced with all oem parts from the dealership and double checked with them all parts fit… and still no power on the mower it is a automatic with a tuff torq t40
@@WeekendHobbyMechanic yes it seemed to have ran fine before i changed the belt other then the old belt slipping off occasionally. Now since i changed it i can barely make it up a incline.
@@FastandFoody Check for tension on the belt went the E-Brake is off. Check to make sure the Neutral Rod is all the way in. Watch this video to make sure the belt was replaced correctly. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LdeThmckJh0.html
@@WeekendHobbyMechanic thank you i actually ended up using a 1 inch smaller belt thats the same width that john deere makes for a similar mower. Now it has full power again so it wasnt the transmission most likely although it could have been. I watched your videos on the drive belt thats how i originally changed the belt so thank you for helping me and making great videos.
