This is a very nice machine no matter the paint not matching. It’s not a late model Ferrari, it’s farm equipment. Sometimes you have to just take things as they are and put it to work.
coming along just fine....there always seems to be some kind of a surprise expense...once you get it done, i'm sure it will serve you well for years to come
Never trust the gap from plug manufacturer . Check John Deere requirements , (Kawasaki) and set gap accordingly . I've seen gaps off as much as .025 ! All it takes is a dropped box with no visible damage .
Just inherited one of the 4x2’s and after a little love and some new gas it fired right up. My question is do these all sound like a damn diesel? Oil looks good and within its acceptable range, but it seems like it’s louder than the ones I’ve seen videos of.
No exhaust leak, I checked for that first. It actually sounds like a rod knock, tbh. But every video I’ve found of one running has the same little tick/knock but mine just seems louder. But I’ll be digging into it tomorrow so I’ll know more. Where did you get your JD Green paint?
I can't find a video or site that shows how to take the front cover off my old 4x2 Gator. It looks easy on the few that show a removal, just four screws and it pulls off. But mine has some kind of weird connection underneath the top screws and it's holding the thing on solid and won't budge. Mine has the black grill protector on it as well. I think it's a 2005 model, give or take a year. Any help?
