Fabulous! I've seen lots of these worn plastic covers. Definitely would get customer's approval, (as you said you did), since the spinning pulley is now exposed....
Safety would be my only concern. Have you ever tried putting a thin metal band on the inside of the covers? I make spacers out of pex. Slide bolt thru and squish down. Leaves a small gap for my leaf blower to clean Glad your back, great videos
Eliminate John Deere Plastic Pulley Covers! This is something I’ve wondered about since Day One of working on small engines over 2 years ago! I’m sure pulley covers are there to protect careless operators from getting hurt, but more likely to cover the a**es of manufacturers from lawsuits. I’ve thought about removing them on my personal equipment so I can actually clean faster and easier, plus if I installed zerks I’d be much more inclined to grease the spindles regularly.
