In Part 2, I'll be going through how to prep the tractor for the sleeve hitch install. The instructions say you need to take off the seat, fuel cap, deck height knob, mower deck, and fender deck... I perform this prep with only removing the mower deck. Unfortunately due to tight area, I couldn't get good video of the lift arm bolt install, but I do explain how I got it done. That being said, install on 2016 and newer tractors appears easier than older models, as nothing needs removed on the newer ones. On older tractors I cannot speak to whether or not you can do this with the fender deck on.
In the future I plan do do some tests to see how much the hitch will lift, and definitely some actual use, a little GoPro action! (but all I have is a hero3, so don't expect much...)

Looks like you need to let a little air out of tires you're running on the centers. I have 8 psi in my x590 with 2 -35 lb wheel weights and a bagger. I put 3 suitcase weights on in the winter for the plow also.

So glad you have made these videos! I plan on getting this for the x590 soon. BTW I think the bolts you are installing at about the 6min mark are already on my machine from having installed the bagger assembly bracket. When you put the bagger on it hooks around those bolts similarly how the hitch hooks on them. I hope they are the same and can use them for both.

I have a 590 with a collection system. I'm guessing there's probably no way to have a collection system set up and a power hitch set up on the back end at the same time. Would be a lot of switching back and forth.

The reason you don't have any resistance to lifting is that it is designed so that attachments will "float" over the ground. That long slot in the lift arm where you put in that hard to access bolt is what makes this happen. Most sleeve hitches have this but then they have a second round hole that you can move the bolt to eliminate the float action and give you down pressure. Usually this is all done at the back by the hitch. This is a poor design, with the slot up under the tractor. Even if there was a hole to bypass the slot (there is not) you have to take the mower deck off and use you special method to change the bolt to it.

My long arm binds on the bracket when its lifting almost like it has to be put on the inside, idk if something got bent at one point but when it’s off it always binds and has quite a bit of tension to pin it to the tractor in store mode, did you have any issues?

Can you run the sleeve hitch with the mower deck on? I gather you can and best if deck raised to highest setting so it does not go up / down when running sleeve hitch.. Is this correct?

Unfortunately no, there are none for any newer 100 series, only the older 60s/70s 100s, 110/120/140… things like that, but they were a whole different beast.

FYI I got an X584 and the lift bar conflicts with the left rear wheel steering. Can only turn to the left. Right turns cause the left wheel steering bar to impact the lift bar at 3 quarters turn. Returning for manual lift. Ugh.

I am assuming this only offers lifting force now any downward force correct?

Correct, lift only, and because of this you need weight on the implement to keep it down in the ground, or to even break ground. The tractor has to be able to lift it though. Due to the limitations on lift with this series of tractor, if you are doing anything serious, I’d move to the 700 series. It can lift way more, therefore being more productive.

No it will not. The 100 series isn't designed for ground engaging type work. If you tried it, you would likely burn up the transaxle, or just spin the wheels. there are aftermarket sleeve hitches that are universal that you could probably find to fit, and they lift using an electric actuator, but again, not a good idea until you get into the modern 500 series.

Unfortunately no, the 570 doesn’t have hydro lift, so you need the manual sleeve hitch

It will not, x300 are not intended to be ground engaging machine. The frame is similar, but I don’t think it’s worth the money and the risk to damage your machine.

No this hitch does not work on the X7XX series, the frames are vastly different. I may have said in some of my videos that some of this stuff is compatible (more so saying the X5x5), but I’ve been learning a lot, and it is for sure not compatible. The 700 series is better though, they can use a cat 1 3point hitch, which is way better and more versatile.

@@JoshsGreenGarage I use a snow blower on the front of mine but you can not use a 3 point and snow blower together the way the hydraulics are you can only use one or the other really sucks I have seen a guy called Johnny loft been trying to call him never get a call back.
