So I had my tracker picked up for repair. The shop dropped it off the trailer and now the deck wont lower or raise properly. They refuse to fix it and I have had very little luck finding anything pointing me in the right direct. Any idea's where I should start?
Hi there What is the year of this model ? I have a 2009 x300r and the drive belt cracked once my son pulled the knob that operates the blades. I think deck was nearly clogged and the belt is old .. now I have to buy a new one and replace DIY. however, when grass is wet, it deck gets blocked very quickly I find it a little bit weird for a semi pro tractor that come with a 7.5K USD price tag. What are your feedbacks ? Thanks a lot 😅
Hi, sorry I don't know the model year of it, but yeah, it seems to block very easily, the grass of our clients mower didn't seem very long and they had these issues
My JD X300 is about a 2008.It has the Black Pull Bracket on the Dash to Engage the Blades 42inch. Something started burning Rubber smoke smell and It sounded like a Cat in a Bag when rengaging then The Engaging part sounded like something fell off maybe a Spring or something.Tractor runs like new 15 HP Yamaha Motor.Any help would be appreciated..
Classic symptom of clogged deck, make sure the exit chute is completely clear of grass and clumps. You made need a wooden spoon or hook to put your arm right down to make sure it's clean all the way. Otherwise clumps block the blades from turning and in turn cause the drive belts to squeal. Bloody rubbish design for such an expensive lawn mower.
I used mine today. Looks and runs like when i bought it back in 09. But I’ve got a pulley screaming. I think it’s the drive pulley if so it’s gonna be a pain to replace. It’ll be the 2nd time I’ve replaced it…
