Beth S I’ve never seen a woman look so incredibly beautiful, radiant and youthful at such an age! Except maybe Halle Berry. Doris was special in so many ways.
YES! And, to each their own(!), however, his "Perhaps Love" duet w/ Placido Domingo and "Calypso" are my "go to" cuts. RIP to DD, TC & JD. PEACE TO ALL.
@@mjcamck I so agree with your John Denver faves. When asked, John himself believed that "Perhaps Love" was his all-time best song. And when performed with Placido, it is breathtaking magic!
Why does everyone always put "corniness"down? It makes us feel good, it makes us think back on good times in our lives, And certainly there is nothing wrong with that at all. Nostalgia always makes the good old days seem so much more special.
Rob M exactly. Sometimes it’s so corny you gotta cringe but it’s still lovely that these two could pull it off without being embarrassed by doing family television. John got me through a million miles of road trips. He can be as corny as he pleases.
Doris is 22 years older than John. She's definitely old enough to be his Mother, but certainly, doesn't look much older at all! Beautiful face as well as spirit. Lovely people! Thanks for sharing this 😘
Doris and John make a great team! Their duets in this clip celebrate mid 1970's camera tricks. My favorite song in the clip is Denver's "Follow Me" in which Doris sings harmony. Pure TALENT!!!
Watching this just makes me so happy. The good ole' days when things were so wholesome. So different than the world of today. Just gives me a good feeling and makes me smile. Love you Doris Day !! You so will be missed. What a down to earth, lovely and sweet lady !! RIP Doris, John and Tim. 😥
And at the Beginning Tim Conway die the day after Doris on May 14, 2019. John Denver my heart trob when I graduate same year this was recorded in 1975 die on Oct 12,1997
I absolutely loved Tim Conway. He did not have to do a thing and you would laugh. I didn't think Doris was that slender and she looks beautiful, as usual. RIP John Denver and Doris Day. You made the world a better place!
@vintagestrings6 & @C Hoc -- So true! All-in-all and in so many ways, 1975 was a REALLY wonderful year for me -- especially that day in July when I borrowed 2 dimes from a student in the same summer class I was in at college so I could get a fresh orange from the vending machine, and we ended up becoming friends and still are to this very day!!!
Wow. I didn't know about this show. Doris was simply amazing. The Magic of Doris Day ! Once in a lifetime human being. Humble, beyond gorgeous, beyond kind, beyond talented. I love Doris Day, Doris Kapplehoff, D.D.
@@whitenoise2027 Well now, don't you have a filthy mind? I can just picture you with your pursed-up lips (that have never smiled), getting angry whenever you see people having fun. Go watch "Harold and Maude" and un-bunch your underwear.
these shows and this music is gone for ever but those who watched and listened it shaped our up bringing and thank god we had this and less of this anti social media of today we were the luckiest kids then but just didn't know it REST IN PEACE DORIS DAY
John Denver was such a great songwriter.. Sunshine On My Shoulders, Leavin On A Jet Plane and so many others.. Would have loved to meet him and pick his brain as a musician and songwriter..
@Dennis O'Conner -- They will be remembered for an indefinite number of generations if their lives keep getting shared. Pass them on to younger people, Many of them are saying that they like these singers at least as well as if not better than their own generation's recording artists.
So enjoyed this....loved both of them! Great talents , miss them both. Grew up watching all her wonderful Rom-com movies and adore his legendary songs! Both German-Americans so not surprised by some of their similarities! Every Christmas I play his Christmas album and love his beautiful song Aspen Glow! He was the epitome of Americana, so was she! R.I.P. you two! I'm sure they're singing on the Other side along with other Angels! Thanks for sharing~
I bought his first RCA album, and almost all that follows. Doris made more movies that I like than anyone else. Back when songs had a simple, but pretty melody. Back when comedies were funny and classy. Two of them together. That's nice.
Ah! is there any better Feelgood than watching these two!!!! She is such a Beautiful singer and John Denvers 'voice... wow i'd almost forgotten the angelic sound of it and the memories it triggers and i'm once again in Colorado.
