This song was for Cassandra,John said after they broke 💔 up it's the best love song he ever wrote or knew from anyone else. He also said in this same moment they were fighting pretty badly over stuff. So sad> then it was soon after this Cassandra finds out he died & she screams & falls on the floor. So you know they still loved one another. 🤔 Even Annie said after he died, if they could be together now > they would make it as, what they dissagreed over was immature stuff. Apparently, a hard man to foget & not love forever > no matter what even intimately. ❤❤ We all miss you John.

I stumbled across this song after my husband died last month. We were both avid John Denver fans and I couldn't believe that we never heard it. It's the most beautiful song for me because it describes the love my husband lived out for me during our, 53 years of marriage. I listen to it every night, become so tearful and yet fulfilled.
