"I don't want you to leave. I want you to dig." In honor of Kevin Costner's birthday and the launch of our new RU-vid channel, we're throwing it back to this epic moment from season 3. Don't mess with John Dutton.
#Yellowstone #ParamountNetwork
Yellowstone is a drama series that follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner). The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. and must contend with constant attacks by land developers, clashes with an Indian reservation and conflict with America's first national park.

It is all the subtle things that Costner so wonderfully brings to his character. Like when he says the one liner about the biker’s kids: “they’d be better off without you.” (03:14). He immediately kind of regrets saying something that harsh and looks away. He pulls off this depth of being absolutely stone cold and genuinely tough, yet radiating a warmth and heart underneath all of that. You understand why everyone is so loyal to him.

@@cdjhyoung Not fiction actually. In a lot of states, the Castle Law applies to one's land as well as their house. So it's not murder since Dutton would have killed them on his own property. Sure the law would investigate, but he'd be protected by the Castle Law. And as far as I know about Montanna's Castle doctrine, it clearly states that one can use force to protect one's home or place of business. In the case of the Dutton's and Ranchers in general, the entire land is their place of business as cattle roams the entire ranch... The fact that he was there to witness the bikers showing up with gas cans and he legally had them confirm that their intentions was to burn the property, he was in his legal right to use lethal force to protect his home and place of business. So yeh the fact you think they're gansters for doing this clearly shows that viking6985 is absolutely right and you don't know how life works. Maybe it's where you're from and maybe you live somewhere where the laws on lethal force are non-existent cause I recognize that there are countries where lethal force is not a legal option, but in the good ol United States of America we got laws that fully allows us to kill a mother fucker for threatening our lives, our loved ones lives, and our home...and yes....even when you go to a class that's run by a cop they specifically tell you, "You don't shoot to wound, you shoot to kill."

We aren't giving Taylor Sheridan enough credit, he's the mastermind. All the actors are great but Sheridan is epic.

This, as well as the brawl, was Taylor Sheridan's way of saying he's done with Sons of Anarchy's behind the scenes drama, and doing the thing he loves. Switching Californian bikers for Montanan cowboys, with Kevin frickin' Costner leading the pack.

Would have been fun to see the SoA in this scene. Even if they played different characters.

Sheridan may have had a hand in it, but SOA was Kurt Sutton's work.
