Seems like Bill was more impressed with the fact that he's been listening to CCR for over 50 years, than the fact he's actually sitting across from John Fogerty and getting to talk to him for almost 2 hours.

The problem with this podcast is Bill invites these great guests so he can talk about himself and his life to them.

I was super excited to hear John Fogerty was on the show, but Bill is interrupting to the point of disrespect a few minutes in already. Maher is a drunk bull in a China shop. John Fogerty is a great storyteller who hasn’t lost a beat and a music legend. I highly recommend his autobiography!

I'd just returned from Normandy and watched this interview when I got home. I mention the timing because, while there, I was walking alone through this quiet little village (maybe 800 residents) on the Seine River. As I approached a small plaza, I heard music coming from the open windows of a nearby apartment. I couldn't make it out until I got close enough to realize it was "Fortunate Son." Vivre CCR!

The irony of Bill correcting John on rock history on when Hey Jude and Satisfaction came out lmao. Bill he knows these artists personally and toured with half of them so let him talk good lord! 🤦‍♂️

This was a great and informative interview whenever Bill shut up long enough to let him talk.

Even given my solid life long admiration for his courage, always excusing Bill's rush to interrupt, Bill has got to learn to let his guests finish their thought before derailing the conversation to his own less newsworthy reminiscences.

Bill manages to siderail guests stories to highlight his own superior musical knowledge. Would like to have heard John talk more about the producer in San Francisco but Bill said he doesn't care about that, his Playlist matters most.

It’s pretty funny listening to Bill try to “big dog” John about music (a guy who was actually there, in that scene), and John is so gracious and unbothered by it. All class.

EVERYTIME Fogerty was getting to the point of a very short comment/story, BILL WOULD CUT HIM OFF. At one point, when Fogerty was talking about his early years in the industry, Bill shuts him up by saying “I don’t care about that. “ and rudely steers him to his later period. Bill is so intent on SHOWING OFF and patting himself on the back about his acumen, in this case musical, that he doesn’t listen to most of his guests. It’s as if a guest is just there to talk until they stoke an idea that Bill has a thought or opinion that he wants to showcase. I scream at the computer screen more watching Bill than any other interviewer/chat person. ALSO, his vulgar adolescent references to woman and sexuality are so tiresome. Maher’s stunted maturity was tolerable before he was a senior citizen. Now it’s just creepy and I’m old too. ALSO, Maher is smarter and less of an obnoxious jerk when he is not stoned.

The comments are saying pretty much the same thing..let the guests finish talking. The first time I watched Club Random, I was intrigued by the format but it was obvious Bill wasn't a good listener/interviewer. This one was painful to watch, as Bill cut John off repeatedly, among other things. Bill has stated that he never watches his own shows, doesn't care what people think about him, but maybe his crew read these comments, and aren't afraid to let Bill know, his viewers feedback/comments. John was so gracious and patient with Bill's unprofessional and rude, buzzed behavior. Loved John, Bill, grow up!

Bill has said that he does not read the comments. He probaby sees this pod cast as a conversation and not an interview. Even so when a guess starts to make a comment, Bill seems to have to then make it about himself.

This is one of those interviews that's hard to sit through because Maher can't shut up. Sometimes he just can't keep his trap closed -- too bad as Fogerty is so interesting.

Bill this was a great interview maybe the best you’ve done. When the guest says “it’s your show” they are hinting that you are talking too much and not letting them tell their story.

I was a security guard at Winstar casino..I often was in earshot of sound checks..it was always the older greats with record quality voices: fogerty,johnny rivers ,Smokey ,Patti Labelle, Tony Bennett and Frankie Valli!! Amazing Amazing

"Honey Don't" One of my favorite Beatles songs, and certainly my favorite Ringo song. What I love most about this song is the boys playing behind Ringo. Paul, John, and George are laying down a perfect rockabilly groove in this song. It's 3 minutes of pure joy

Williams insisted on playing and later said, 'If I didn't hit .400 all the way, I didn't deserve it." Fogerty was right, Bill. You'd have realized that had you just shut up for one damn second and listened to your freakin' guest.

Hey Bill, nobody cares about your Ipod playlist or your condescending takes on other people's sources of inspiration....I wanted to hear John talk about his peers, not you tell him you don't care about his influences. Sometimes talking heads need to shut up and listen to their guests.

I can't stand Bill with his interruptions and playing with the ice, drink, cigar, I had to stop, John is too confident and a gentleman to listen to his rumblings. Bill loves his voice and himself way too much.

Honestly! I watched this whole video in 10 minute stints because I'd get so angry with Bill interrupting that I'd have to shut it off and leave for while. You should see all the yard work I got done!

John tried to talk about the Beach Boys and Bill cut him off 3 times. An obvious example of an album with all great songs on it is " Pet Sounds " but Bill never thinks of it. Bill, give Brian Wilson some credit where it's due. And please stop interrupting your guests so much.

John Fogerty is a great interviewer. He lets Bill finish his sentences and stories and then reacts and shares his thoughts. A lesson to be learned, Bill. For Fogerty fans: watch him on youtube being interviewed by his old friend George Thorogood. George shows how it should be done and John gets to tell his stories without constant interruptions and diversions. I like Bill‘s show and its concept, the relaxed talk, but the point of having guests is to let them speak. Else get just a sidekick and do a monologue.
