As the years go by, John is finally getting the recognition that he has long deserved. I have seen him 5 times in concert, and he signed a guitar for me. He is a perfectionist somewhat like Macartney. He is one of the greatest and most talent treasures this country has left........we should feel proud that we still have him. Don't diss the man until you know what he has been through. What a legend!!

Perry Humberd totally agree Perry. it doesn't get any better than John Fogerty. I just wish I was old enough to have seen them in concert but in 1969 I was 10. but I've loved their songs since I can remember.

Totally agree. In addition to John Fogerty and Paul McCartney ,may I add another Paul, Paul Simon, as one of the genius song writers of 60 and 70's..

John Fogerty will always be one of the greatest songwriters. He's not perfect but imagine how many more songs he could have written if lawsuits didn't dim his creativity.

I love Fogerty... his music is awesome. And, with all of the troubles he's seen in his lifetime, it's great to see he's moved past it all and come back to bring his music back to the world. Thanks for putting up this interview, it's really great to see.

I read John's biography and he is was wise beyond his years. He is a man who has worked harder than almost anyone in the music industry to get where he is today. I have also seen him in concert, have a autographed 'Blue Moon Swamp' cd, and a very nice letter from his wife Julie.

I like the thing he says at 3:08-3:19. That´s true. ``If it doesen´t feel so bad then It isn´t you just go forward that´s the whole point, and stop being dragged down by something that happened in the past``.

After Fogerty made the Blue Ridge Rangers album he thought he fulfilled his contract with Fantasy Records and made an album for Asylum Records ("John Fogerty"). But Fantasy took him to court and made him pay them his record and songwriting royalties from that album. After Warner Brothers bought Asylum in the late 1970's, they settled the dispute with Fantasy, freeing Fogerty to record for them. But it still took him several years to finish the "Centerfield" album.

I can't stand most record labels' brass. Fogerty got screwed by you know who. John is a great artist. I hope for the day when artists can be fully free from the loathsome record company brass. And by the way, Larry King here-jerk, CONSTANTLY interrupting, insensitive, etc.

I saw credence in 1970, without his brother, as a power trio, guitar, bass, drums. He was just like chuck berry--he played all the lead, wrote all the songs, sang all the lead. he played killer harp. those guys with him could have been ANY TWO ADEQUATE MUSICIANS. he let them each sing a song they had written--lousy songs. then the two ciphers took the side of the people who stole his music. now they tour without fogerty as "credence clearwater revisited." dolts.
@lynnkirsch2603
@lynnkirsch2603 7 лет назад
zyxquark amen to that. jealousy is a bad bad thing. if it weren't for John the other 3 would have faded in to obscurity, which they kinda did anyway.

Oh well, we were the lucky ones to get such great music for those times. Pity it didn't last but the quality did.

interrupting is what interviewers do. they axe the questions and the interviewee answers. if not for the questions they would just sit there and look at each other. would that be better for you?
