I love that RHCP are one of the few mainstream bands that actually jam and improvise in concert. Most big bands have a set list for a tour and they go out and do it the same every night. I can appreciate that kind of discipline, but I’d much rather see a band that can cut loose and go off the map.

This dudes playing his put me into a trance-like state every one of the countless thousands of times I've been so blessed as to hear it. Got heavy into John and the band when I was 11 or 12, I'm 33 now. Nobodies music has ever resonated with me nearly as much. I'm not a religious person in the slightest, but thank you, god, for letting me live on the same timeline as these beautiful beings, and for letting them cross paths when they did.

John is John but Josh played some of the best guitar I've heard him play with the peppers, starting around 6 mins in. He's great at adding depth to the jams. I didn't enjoy him as the main guitar player but damn he was great with john live! His snippets of guitar and keyboards added alot to the live shows.. I feel bad he had to try and fill John's shoes. Read the comments. John's a hard dude to top 😂😂😂

It's a different style of music, but steve Kimock had a 2nd guitarist for a while. He played a lot of strange effects and not traditional guitar parts. It was great tho, the RHCP should bring John back and do that with he and Josh

I saw them the day after in what was his last ever gig (back int day). It was terrible. As a HUGE chili peppers fan and an even bigger Frusciante fan, it was devastating. I’d seen them multiple times before & taken some mates to Leeds festival. I was so excited for my mates to officially see them live and experience the truth. As I said before. Devastating. If only I’d known that it’d be the last show... he must have known it was his last too. It was just a very sad gig, and not in a good way at the time. That being said, it didn’t put me off them one bit. And I’m so so so So happy he’s back!

+Jay Man That was one of their last jam before dissolving. I feel like John is expressing that sad situation through his guitar at the very end. He plays Am goes to F, then back to Am and then to G and also plays a little of Am harmonic scale to add more tension. Have fun!

Jimi WAS the greatest guitarist in the world when he was alive and walking this earth... ( I know as I was alive when he was here. John is a brilliant guitarist... but who was here first.... JIMI! Jimi inspired many guitarists and still inspires many more to this day. To say this is a John vs Jimi can't be done. Jimi was great inspiration to John but you can't compare, them as technology advancement and guitars were getting better after Jimi died.
