Just watched the interview from 1998 that came out recently, and holy shit, there's such a contrast in John's speaking. He doesn't slur or stutter anymore, he doesn't fill his sentences with "um" or "you know" nearly as much, he speaks so much faster, his thoughts are clear, it's crazy. I mean, these are things that everybody knows, but when you have a direct comparison, you can _really_ hear it.
I know it sounds crazy, but niandra Lades and a lot of his solo music really pushed me to not just be in a band but to compose for the sake of my own spirit. Hearing how indepth and real those albums felt.
hmmm its not rly death to creativity, look at the beatles, they were in pressure to get albums done, its not that bad, but yes, it can hurt a career badly, I've always preffered artists who are more laid back than uptight
So happy you’re back making music with a guitar. Not gonna lie I’m glad it’s with RHCP and a strat. You’re the first person I was inspired by when I started learning to play and still my main influence. I know I’m not alone in that!
I've got faith the next Red Hot Chillie Peppers album is going to be amazing. But if their next album turns out like the Foo Fighters new album, rock truely is dead. Bless you RHCP

I started writing a song and I didn't really like the direction it was going but I had put time into it and I figured I might as well finish it.. And it's one of my favorite things I've done and it's very different from what I normally do. This is really good advice
I'm always super glad when I hear someone mentionning Syd's influence on their music/art. Too many people still have this vague image of a lunatic about Syd, when his stuff really was super creative and authentic. A true artist!
"Niandra" is the greatest album ever. No producer..... no engineer..... no multimillion dollar studio. Just a dude with a simple tascam 4 track with a couple of guitars..... and a piano and banjo.
And this is how, 12 years after having listened it for the first time, I know the real pronunciation of Niandra Lades.. (I'm from Argentina). Also, now I know the criteria behind those electronic music songs that I didn't like. I think it's coherent with what he says.

Niandra tiene un no se que que me hace amarlo, es un Fru re sincero y desbocado y quizas el hecho de que ya dudo a esta altura q haga otro disco así me hace amarlo aún mas jaja
@@IzanagiSMT chaaabón! Siempre que leo a alguien que se ha copado con ese disco es como leerme a mí mismo. Creo q algunos hemos entendido perfectamente el contexto en el que se hizo ese álbum y el estado de John en ese momento y lo hemos abrazado como quien escucha a un amigo que está triste. Ese disco fue una gran compañía en un periodo muy difícil de mi vida, y me ha llevado a ver el arte de otra manera y como un todo.. no sé, podría decir mil cosas de cada tema de ese álbum y el Usually Just A T-Shirt, pero simplemente prefiero darte la razón en lo que decís vos. Es el disco más sincero, más profundo y más directo que he escuchado en mi vida, y uno de los más complejos y hermosos. Saludos che!

This is great. To sum up what I’m hearing, if what you’re doing isn’t working try doing the opposite. Jokingly it works for George Costanza on Seinfeld so why not me?
