Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante has Trouble with his Guitar and Gets Angry at Fan! (Bercy, France - 2006) (FULL) #RedHotChiliPeppers #JohnFrusciante Partner: @PortalRHCP - Instagram.
i know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I love any tips you can give me!
i dont know why,, such an amazing powerful original sound is always like taken for granted. It happens with a lot of artist, when the sound so good people dont realise the originality, it just sounds great and people dont realise. i love the red hot, i love flea, and i admire john frusciante so much. but fuck, take chd smith out of the sound and you will realise the greatness he has in the rhcp sound......buuuuuaaaaaahhhhh he is massively talented
John is seriously one of the chilliest and most positive human beings to have ever lived. If someone pissed him off, they must have really said something truly awful.
The way how Anthony looked at John when he blames the kid. He must have felt sorry for the poor kid. Also goes to show what a great showman Flea is and what great connection he has with Chad and Anthony to make it seem like they were chilled during the whole thing
He was trying pretty hard not to laugh. He knew if he did, John could've spazzed out completely. I think they've learned to live with eachothers' faults.
Definitely I could tell by Anthony’s body language he wasn’t ok with John blaming a fans sign bc Anthony is there to perform & have fun with the fans & not upset them & make them possibly hating the band for a stupid comment out of frustration.. that’s why Anthony later says that must of been some bad vibes of that sign bc Johns guitar was still not working lol In other words Anthony saying hey man it’s not the sign but shit happens sometimes
The sign said „John let me play your guitar“ or something along these lines. John felt sorry for the incedent being a bit of a prick and later excused himself and offered to let the one play his guitar. I guess John was in a bad mood and the sign just pushed him to the edge.
Man I’m glad I wasn’t at that show!! I’m a guitarist who was first inspired by John. I finally got to see him recently after 20 years and he exceeded my expectations. To be robbed of that over tech issues is so shitty. I know exactly how he felt. Bad night.
John has some sad problems... But he's doing the best he can and it's all good. He apologized to that kid and even let him play his guitar so come on... That is a kool thing. At least John knows he fucked up and made up for it. Shit happens. It's how we deal with that shit that matters and in the end he did the right thing. So it's not all bad!
There are very few people that can amaze the masses with a bass solo, unless maybe with a bow because it prolongs the notes and opens up the bass sonically... but Flea is really something else, he is an amazing player.
Amazing. True band of brothers. Their attitude towards each other and in the moment is was transforms this from "just another fail video" to one that is probably my favorite live video thus far in 2020.
@@coccyxtank931 ive gigged for years with a strat, a fuzz face (always on) and a deluxe reverb. Pedals are fun but not necessary. They just make life easier and inspire you in different ways.
Poor guy... I don't know if I could've enjoyed "snow" live, one of my favorite songs by RHCP, right after being told off by John in front of everyone in a concert. I hope it's true he apologized and let the guy play his guitar afterwards...
@@soyborne.bornmadeandundone1342 Even if he hadn't immediately made amends, that doesn't make someone '100% asshole'. One flawed moment doesn't define someone entirely.
He’s only human. Sometimes we act in ways we later would like to have undone. He apologized afterwards. The sign said something like ”John, can I play your guitar”. Being stressed out for the technical difficulties with his guitar and then seeing that sign, I guess he felt even more pressured or something. Later, I think he realised that the sign was quite innocent but when it all happened, I guess he didn’t see it that way. We all do make mistakes and the only thing we can do is apologize for them and learn from them. John’s behaviour here is very human and very excusable.
Josh told the interviewer about John began reproaching to the RHCP tour staff in recent year and apologised his past behavior. I predict that this wasn't the only one of his mistake. But I understand there are sensitive, difficult people among very artistic area.
He's acting like a bitch period. You give him a pass because he's "famous", but if someone yelled at your Mother, Sister, or child for stubbing their own toe you would be pissed. No excuse.
AndreasC81 Yeah,no. You're talking like this was some random dude playing live for the first time, ffs! He's been doing this for many years,he's a professional musician, things like that happen, and "you"got people there to resolve the situation, still, this isn't the first time he acted this way.
I don’t think he learnt anything and murder and rape is what humans do too? If your daughter was raped and the rapist leanrt his lesson not to recommit, is an apology going to solve the issue?
I've seen this but have never seen this. I've seen this edited down to where it's a few seconds of guitar trouble followed by John getting pissed several times but never seen the whole ordeal. Thanks for the video!
@Phillip Castro It doesn't take days to set up your guitar. Wtf? And the point here isn't that John got frustrated. The point here is that he blamed said frustration on a poor kids fucking sign! Get it now?
@@jimclawley7503 as a guitar player myself I agree, but going off on a fan was just not called for. Personally in a situation like that, (can't say I'd be proud of it) I'd probably say something rude to whoever set up my guitar in the heat of the moment
To be fair I would probably be pretty pissed off aswell if my guitar cut out right in the middle of one of my bands biggest tracks and I just had to sit there and watch my fellow band mates jam without me🤣
@j77 I never excused his actions all i said was i would probably be pissed aswell?😂 also after the show he apologised to the fan and let them play his guitar back stage
Yup, probably a pretty awkward situation when 20,000 people are staring at you. Most of us would soil ourselves in that situation. Took the roadie forever. They need a better backup system. Also, John has a lot of pedals, wtf.
John was dead serious. He felt that sign was the reason his guitar failed. It's that kind of vibe level that brings the amazing musicianship he delivers.
way to improvise guys! We all felt John's pain and frustration, and his boys had his back. That hug! Let's be honest, they can do no wrong, we love em' anyway
John has always been a very strange person. How could somebody honestly think a sign in the audience had something to do with technical difficulties with your guitar? He's a musical genius but as a human being he is very odd.
He passed through a heavy drug addiction, it is a serious sickness. I work with this kind of people, they tend to be a very sensitive and get stressed easily. In that kind of situation the frustation probably made him lose his head a lil bit
@@germanowskiii4792 - I'm a recovering heroin addict as well. Being an addict in recovery doesn't explain John's odd personality. All my addict friends are completely normal people who don't constantly talk about spirits, other dimensions, and outer space like John does. I think his weirdness has more to do with how creative he is. More often than not, people with very creative brains are also very strange as individuals.
Admit it or not John still has these weird problems in and my opinion it was a step back for the band to getting him back. I would not be shocked if he would leave the band again, but now there is no Josh to replace him. (BTW i would die for Frusciante but i am being honest here)
Hakan Şimşek - I would bet that the other three band members made him agree to something that states if he comes back as a full member he has to be all in and can’t quit again when he feels like he’s had enough. They are too big of a band to gamble with him being wishy washy again.
Even before his major drug use, he had someone kind of schizo tendencies, talking about voices from other dimensions, symbols and so forth. he is a spiritual guy as well
There seems to be a lot of ridicule for 1.) The temper 2.) A complicated effects chain that he should've bypassed 3.) Delusional thoughts of misplaced blame. I've gotta say, for the benefit of the doubt, I sympathize with John completely. Regarding the temper - I've seen band members scream at fans and even resort to assaulting them physically if provoked enough. This was probably a pretty massive show - one larger than anyone in the comments has probably played - the stakes of not being able to resume the show must've been very stressful. In terms of lashing out, sure, it wasn't a great reaction. And he was even embarrassed about it later. But in terms of rock stars lashing out at fans, it seems kind of tame. The stubborn, diva, hot temper comments don't ring true to me. As for the effects chain... it seems there are a lot of really cool guitar players in the comments section who are too good for pedals and purport that any self-respecting guitarist should be able to play without the crutch of effects. Well, yeah, I kind of agree. As a guitar player, I can say with confidence... guitar players suck - they are (or can be) the epitome of a dangerous amount of knowledge. Instead of being open to different equipment and expressions of the instrument, a lot of guitar players are pig-headedly myopic about what is good and what is right. Opinions fly around, such as, "Joe Bonamassa is the best guitar player because he doesn't need f****** p**** pedals - just guitar, cord, amp - that's it! Simple!" Well... no. Pedals seem like an introduction of error for people who don't use them frequently or have familiarity. Yes, things can go wrong, of course, but assuming that was the problem here is ignorant. I have a sizeable pedal board and have had to trouble-shoot an error on stage exactly twice in the last decade. It's fine, guys. Really. I play tube amps as well and have had to trouble-shoot those mid show as well. For those who talk about how shitty pedals are because they overcomplicate things...guys... tube amps are literally complex circuits powered by glorified lightbulbs. In John's case, yes, he has pedals. Guitar goes in. Pedals go to the amp, or amps. His direct signal probably also splits and bypasses the amp and goes to the sound system. The mic'd amps and DI signal go to patches or racks in the back. those racks feed into a mixing board and then DAW and then back out to the house. There are so many ways that can go wrong. To assume it's a pedal issue (which I'm not saying it's not) is a symptom of snarky ignorance. The last opinionated point about his idiotic blame of the sign giving him bad vibes and causing his guitar malfunction also seems misplaced to me. Again, this must've been a very frustrating situation. I think he took his frustration out on a target that rubbed him the wrong way, as I'm sure many of us have. I don't believe he legitimately thinks a sign (which I believe referenced asking to play John's guitar) was responsible for the malfunction. I think he was pissed and it was reactionary. I think we've all been there. But I don't think we've all been there while 15,000 people are waiting for us to put on a show for them. Alright, that's all I got. If anyone actually read this whole thing, I'll send you a slice of cake. Not a real one, a mind cake. I don't know where you live.
Great comment. I honestly have a hard time with random people that have accomplished next to nothing musically giving their "expert opinion" on what the artists are doing wrong or who does what better. A world without effects pedals would be like a salad made with no dressing and only lettuce. Ive seen John make a shitty acoustic sound beautiful and for some time he used next to no effects. John is a genius, not just on guitar, he also knows his way around a very rare vintage modular synth. Sometimes with genious comes a little insanity. Most of the people that gave their important, educated, and warranted opinion (sarcasm) will never understand what it is like having an exception mind. I hope everyone takes the time to read your comment. Thank you. Its nice to see that there are still a few people left with an objective mind. All the best to you and I hope some people learn from you. Peace!
Y'all saying shit about John must never have been upset before? He's fucking human... what, he's not allowed to feel emotions? He's one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Trying to put on a massive show for tens of thousands of people will stress you out, plus add malfunctioning equipment during the show into the mix.
"Can someone please paint a Monalisa on that sign?" La única que vez que me parece adecuado el sarcasmo de Anthony. Este es uno de los peores momentos de John.
