Dude ... John on that pedal show would be a jackpot! Shame he turned down a rig rundown. I have been waiting for the Peppers to do a pro shoot on a gig .. does anyone know if this may happen?
@@OllyVert Stop. You know damn well it wasn't management. They want all the press they can get for the tour. It's marketing. This is clearly John. Flea did it with Josh twice. I know people don't want to hear that their hero can be difficult, but he often has been.
It’s funny, I remember watching the VCQ around the same time you posted a video about John’s technical difficulties and I remember Dan saying some thing very much in passing, but they never spoke of it again which kind of blows my mind. I even went back and looked, but I never found it, which makes me think the simulation glitched. 😂 Really cool video though.
Awesome work. I remember when Dan spoke about this on TPS. I could be wrong but I’m sure that he said that he heard from a friend of his in USA that John was using one, and that Dan hadn’t spoken to John ect. I’m pretty sure it was off the back of a viewer suggesting to Mick that he listen to the new RHCP album, and Mick talking about how John was as influential as Jimi for his own (Micks) playing, but he hasn’t listened to RHCP for a long time. I think he said Blood Suger Sex Magic was the peak for him, but Californication turned him off.
Running that many pedals all in series at the same time thwarts the original intent of the quartermaster, to improve tone. John must solve this by using buffers to maintain his analog dry-through tone.
I reckon it’s an ‘If it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ mentality... and it only just broke 😂 he seems to be a bit traditional when it comes to pedals. Most of his stuff is retro.
I have no idea what a quarter master is and how it's a failsafe and why wouldn't it be kept offstage for Henry to monitor? It never ends. Just seems like a multi patch outlet to me.
John turned down having his rig on a 2022 Rig Rundown? Or did he decline being interviewed? And what about Flea? I saw he stopped using Lane Poor on his newer copper jazz basses. Probably switched to Duncans because of wider availability. Somebody should make him a signature pickup at this point.
Rig Rundown didn’t happen because of strict Covid policies in the RHCP camp. They are still very careful about letting outsiders in. That is what Premier guitar told me….
@@RedHotChiliRiffs oh! That's perfectly understandable. Safety and securing a healthy work environment comes first. Then we can geek out about the gear. 😊👌
I'm glad we have artists like Jonny Greenwood, John Frusciante, John Squire etc who DONT do gear interviews on youtube. they are the true artists: who see this endless verbal wank about gear as counter-productive to creating. for them and for us.
Enough Frusciante videos. Too many people are making Frusciante videos and they're all regurgitating the same thing. You at least change up some of the topics, but it's getting weird. Some creators are getting cringe with their stalker vibes.
What’s funny is you think people will stop making what content they want cause you make a comment. You don’t like it, don’t watch. It’s pretty damn simple.
@@tomsandowtz No.... I'm just trying to put a comment in the comment section that makes people realize that the stalker nut hugger vibes that have taken over Frusciante guitar RU-vid videos has gotten fking weird.
