this is why I love RU-vid for bringing this community together! Man your setup is rad man! And those were some sweet tones. Please keep the videos going!
@@tom.guitar22 I just started you “how not to suck” series, please keep that going! I love your teaching style and your playing style. John is what got me into learning. Will definitely follow the IG for more
I have this amp and I LOVE it. The only thing though is that I LOVE it with my Fender American Standard Strat, but no so much with my Les Paul Standard 50s. My Les Paul sounds better through my LTD Blues Jr. Go figure.
yo bro it’s the jubilee combo. another great alternative is the DSL40 if you wanna be cheaper. and dials you can do to your taste don’t follow me, and nope this is a marshall baby!!! Bro what you have to understand is the silver jubilee is like the crem de la crem 90s gain style marshall. It took me years to even come across one used. Pro tip - don’t buy new marshall’s, you can save thousands $$$ especially the jubilee is the most expensive one
Bro go to 8:30 on this to hear the Sm57'd clean sound. Im telling you man, crem de la crem of marshalls... they were hard to get for a long long time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pbhtzNl-DnY.html @@monkfish3099
Damn, if I've had a house that would be the amp to get. Apartment living here so mostly headphones playing, still ok!!! Nice pickups! I have fender ones and was told by the luthier that they are a bit flat and I should probably think about changing them for something with more character and he's right I think but still changing fender pickups for others is changinf a good thing for other good thing. And I'm not about that life :D
haha awesome bro. If you wanna hear the nice touch of some pickups try the early 60s reproduction fenders , or listen to Peter Green’s greeny guitar out of phase , best sound ever
@@tom.guitar22 when time comes I will stop digging the sound of pickups that my strat came with (deluxe strat for 50th anniversary of strat 2004, H-S-S). I will look into the other ones : D Maybe I'm missing sth, I don't know : D I believe in fender :D
@@michakowalski2930 you can also try play with the EQ - turn the bass and presence up on your amp and see what it does. Most guitars have lots of potential to sound good regardless of pickups etc
I like to write poems , all day long i fill notebooks and my style is to sometimes attach attributes in writing to inanimate objects. In this case i felt randomly that I write a poem to the guitar asking for the energies of music to flow through it and make a pairing with me. Not that i’m praising the guitar but combining words and music to a oneness union. Also just because it’s cool - look up jimi hendrix’s strat where he wrote may this be love on the back in a poem. Looks really cool
