Wow. Wow. I'm totally impressed with how well you've organized the entire game room! I like how you went with industrial style shelves since those are super sturdy and have have minimalist, modern look. Nice!
Amazing, nice when it all comes together. In the middle of cleaning my game room atm, bad habit of of not updating my list/collection. Fun times, cheers John.
If I ever walked into that room I would probably pass out from sheer amazement. My collection is just over 1200 physical copies and it looks like nothing next to this.
Wow the game room looks great. That room is a hardcore gamers dream come true. Looks like alot of time and effort went into organizing and prepping the room for display. Some day soon i hope to have all my video games and consoles on display once i get a bigger place.
Very, very nice room, John. You did a wonderful job! This is a bona fide Museum already! Of all the great stuff you have there, I just can't get over that absolute gem which is Captain Power. I used to love that show growing up! Keep up the good work! All the best!
I emphasise as I am almost out of space with my collection. Organising everything and keeping it clean and working becomes more and more of a struggle. But its a labour of love! Great game room! Thanks for sharing!
Kinda get a Step Brothers vibe listening to you guide us around your games room. Kinda like when Dale guides Brennan around the house telling him what everything is 🙂
John, your collection is sensational and great to see this. good to see some Laserdiscs in there too, I collect that but I'd advise that you not stack your discs that way, not good. What an incredible collection and a beautiful layout
I wish when I was growing up my dad would have had an awesome hobby like collecting as many video game systems and games. That sounds way more fun than being anal about making sure the lawn doesn't grow to high every week Your kid/kids are damn lucky to have that collection available for them to enjoy with you.
I didn't expect you to have so many 3DS games. I don't think I've ever heard you talk about that system. The SNES and GameCube collections are awesome. My favorite systems. The room looks great!
It looks great, John. Also thanks for recommending Retroprotection. I got my first order yesterday and I am very pleased. I’m going to order more this week.
WOW.. Dude that is massive collection got there, great job on video John was blowing away what stuff you ave, sega, Amiga, Atari. Nintendo and neo geo list goes on .. great idea store boxes if run out room lol.
The Game Room of Doom is BACK!!! Dude, it’s looking awesome! I really want your collection to be in a museum. So I can presence the might of The Immortal John Hancock’s VideoGame Collection myself. Keep up the great work!!
Now this is what I'm talking about I bet there is a way to watch all these vids in order since I'm just getting into them. However finding this one was like one if MJRs hidden gems vids.
I remember Captain Power! I know I have some of the VHS videos and the ship somewhere in my shed. I actually forgot the name of Captain Power and couldn't remember it to save my life until you mentioned it in this video. I was thinking about it several weeks ago. Nice game museum.
Complete collections can be such a daunting and intimidating mountain to climb, as an avid comic collector, I can relate! I’m super jealous of your Super Nintendo collect! Awesome stuff, John!
Hey John I noticed you don't have protections for your boxes they sell them on eBay there pretty cool your boxes won't get ruined overtime I'm going to buy one too for my Sega Master System box
The best thing about this collection? Instead hunting for a game that may take as long as finding something to decide on watching on Netflix and potentially ruining hardware from wear and tear... You can literally download almost every game rom on the internet and give any companies that try and sue the middle finger and say "I own all of them bitches".
Get some awesome LED lights to not only look cool, but put different colors for each brand. But holy cow I know why they call you the immortal John Hancock now! Amazing!
Great job John on getting your game room more organized! Wow that is a lot of stuff. lol Definitely a collector's paradise. I would love to get my games and consoles where I would like them to be. Of course my goals are quite different from yours. You are striving to show your collections in a museum someday. My goal is to get the consoles and games that I want, mostly ones I would play. Lookin' good keep plugging away man. You are truly an inspirations. God Bless!
So awesome John ... I'll never be able to have anything like what you've put together (even if my wife offered support) so I enjoy watching your videos and good humor. Hopefully one day I'll be able to catch you at some convention or something.
I am so pleased that you have such a fantastic collection!! I have to say I'm a little jealous lol!! is good to know that there's someone like you looking after consoles in games!! Your game room is looking much much better well done brother keep up the good work!!!
Most impressive game room ,I also have the SNES mortal Kombat program moves controller I got from kb toys back then because I am big fighting games fan
I agree i have lots of Laserdisc and you should never lay them flat. The weight of the Laserdisc can break the laserdisc. Please stack them side by side.
still makes my stomach drop when i see a cib evo, had a chance to grab it for $1 way way back, didn't know the game until i tried it on an emulator, and by then it was too late, now it's one of my favorite games ever and chances are i'll never have it.
Cool collection man. If you really like to play these games, then you owe it to yourself to pick up a Sony PVM or BVM and get all the right cables and play them in the absolute best quality
Love the Tac2 controllers...buddy, I have stuff, but if I had what you had remotely, my wife would simply kill me...I also have to attempt to get my one Astrocade working.. Wizard of Work is a fantastic Astrocade title. Tons of my stuff is in my classroom where I teach an intro gamemaking class where students get to try out some retro consoles and computers while making their own games.
That's an amazing game room. I'm curious John, do you ever sit back and just admire the collection? That's a lot of work, dedication and years of building your collection. It must be an awesome feeling to have all of that. Not for money or recognition just having a well organized collection of things that make you happy.
I'm just as guilty John! I don't have a collection anywhere near the size of yours but I still appreciate what I have so far. Keep up the great work with the vids.
@JohnHancock have you ever thought of doing a crowd fund to get your Museum going? You’ve given a lot to the community already maybe it’s time to ask for something back?
Awesome collection brother! Very well organized too. Question for you... Do you find yourself playing more current gen console games or spend more time playing retro console games?
