Having had the pleasure of sharing a long breakfast in a tiny, strange pub in the middle of nowhere, I can honestly say this an absolutely true to life representation of John. Top bloke and has priceless stories for days 👌🤌
Excellent podcast. Been holidaying on the broads for 40 years and had a few from the postwick viaduct area myself. Tells it how carp fishing used to be 😊
Back in his day, there were plenty in the river.. not somuch now.im a norwich lad and have had them upto 28 out the river but years ago.. very hard you get one or two a year your doing very well.
Rob lives in Thailand and Terry is under exclusive contract with ESP... a Korda competitor .... but you never know! Also I think Terry once said he has said everything there is to say in his books......
Great stories. I am Norfolk born and inbred 😁. I was actually born opposite No.3 and the Ski pit in 1973. I lived there for the first 21 years of my life so know them very well and all the other pits there. I also saw the fish 'Strawberry' from No3 pit being photographed when I was a kid back in around 1980/81 maybe. It totally blew me away and was what made me want to catch more than just roach etc. I remember seeing a photograph of a lovely mirror which was from the original stocking of fish from No3 years ago. It was 25lb and some ounces which I can't remember exactly. It was the Norfolk record at the time from 1966.
