I did like how, later in the episode, Clark talks to her and reasons with her with kindness and compassion. Her attitude started to dissolve when she realized this isn’t the man who killed her mother.
Well she already knew it. She says herself in that scene that she knows Clark isn't the same guy and her anger/fear is in instinctive response. I like that they're both able to meet each other half way
I was pissed with Natalie's character, but after the last episode I really feel her. Poor kid was all alone in space, the sole survivor from an entire planet. Man, what a terrifying situation to be in, being utterly alone in a void for months, with limited food, water and life support. That too as a kid. She's clearly suffering from PTSD. I'd give her a hug if I could. I'm glad Clark took the first step to make this right for her.
Completely agree! Personally, I think both she and Henry seriously need therapy. They've both been through so much; hell, I don't think they've had time to process their grief over losing their wife and mother, all their friends and family, their world, everything. They arrived here and jumped right into fighting and survival mode. Seeing this world's Lois and Clark, even knowing they're different, with their family has to be a constant gut punch and make it near impossible to grieve the loss of their Lois.
Many people forget "John Henry Irons" was created for the Death of Superman saga. A tribute to the real John Henry who died fighting a steam machine with a sledgehammer, a hero not just to African American men but to all men. For wherever a strong man works hard and fights for what he believes...I swear to you John Henry still lives. Jt Out
While it is understandable that Natalie is upset with Clark for what happened to her father, how she treats him is entirely unfair. This Superman isn't the version that killed her mother, yet she unfairly projects how she feels about that Superman onto Our Superman. John Henry Irons made that mistake too, but at least he gave Superman a chance, which ultimately paid off.
You're absolutely right, but she's a teenager who suffered tragic loss, not just of her mother but her whole world. And her father nearly died helping Superman. It's going to take her time to come to terms with how she feels.
Who cares how she feels, can't she understand that she is from another dimension a different universe. With her brain she should understand that they can be a universe where she is the killer. A teenager is young enough to understand that.
Yeah. Plus her superman must've been actually good as well. I think the superman of her world got taken over by sword like how the main superman in the show was about to but unlike the superman of Henry's earth, this superman actually had a wife and kids to come home to. Since Lois married someone else in Henry's world the Clark of that world has nothing to hold onto which is why he got easily taken over by zod.
My only issue with her is that she was living with them for weeks and was fine, now all of a sudden it’s a problem that he looks like the guy that killed her mom. And not to mention she was in town for months before that. I don’t know, maybe it does make sense but it’s annoying to be dealing with it now, when they could’ve made them deal with this at the beginning of the season.
She wasn't fine. She didn't make a scene out of it before because logically she knows Clark isn't the same guy. But her dad nearly being killed brought those feelings all up to the surface, that instinctive fear associated with the memory of losing her other parent. People suffering from trauma can try to be fine or pretend to be fine for a long time before something just makes it boil over.
everyone in the comments not understanding how she feels not only with how the situation is but being a young adult speaks to help people really feel about things 🤦🏿♂️
I hate John’s line “you haven’t really spent time around her” she literally said she doesn’t feel safe around him SHE isn’t giving Clark any time to be around her so John you need to talk to your daughter about being more open minded and LET CLARK TALK
Berry is an adult. Natalie is a child. She's only been in 4 episodes and they haven't actually done anything to work on her feelings towards Clark. Healing takes time. And honestly her instinctive fear response is very understandable after what she's seen and been through
Luckily Natalie isn’t like this in the main dc universe. She’s respects Clark and her father, even becoming the future Steel and joining the Justice League
It took time for John Henry to move on. And he's a grown man and a soldier, Nat is a teenager. She just needs time and being treated with understanding and patience.
Yeah but the John Henry in the comics didnt go through what this version of Henry did. The John Henry of the comics was a big fan of superman which is why his comic suit has the Kryptonian symbol of hope on it to pay respect to his idol and the hero he looked UpTo.
You know, I'll always make the case that Natalie is the word "duh" personified. I swear, she's like the only one in any of these shows that actually makes sense logically. Even in this case, as another commentor said, it makes sense for her to start getting those feelings drawn up again. In the most recent episodes especially, comparing her to Sarah is like comparing a nice tea with spoilt milk mixed with literal piss beer. Ngl it could just me being biased cuz her name is similar to mine but I mean... nobody needs to know.
I'm still fuzzy on the alternate Clark. Did he choose to do the things he did, like kill Lois, or was he body jacked like Jordan was? I can't remember them bring it up.
She's not wrong remember what Harvey Dent said in The Dark Knight " a hero lives long enough to see himself to become the villain." All it takes is one bad how come in Clark's life either Lois Lane dies or one of his kids died and that's going to be the one thing that turns him dark that's the one thing you learn from the video game Injustice because that's how Superman turned evil in the first place when Lois Lane died and Superman killed the Joker that was the last straw to step over the line into the darkness. There are just some things you can't go back from even Oliver Queen has said that so many times on Arrow.
@@brandoncornish1670 yeah but you literally just repeating what I already said. How exactly is that your own point of view if you're just being a copy little poser?! Most importantly this quote goes for any superhero. If you don't understand that maybe go back to school and learn some proper comprehension!
@@brandoncornish1670 if you had proper reading comprehension you would understand the example I use from the video game Injustice he lived Superman long enough to become the villain when he lost the one thing he loves. So the fact that you paraphrase what I just said in your own words that's not really being original that's you being a copy little s***
first she blames him for killing her lois, then puts blame on him for being there to save her father to save him and now she mad that she stays with him. make it make sense, she hates him when he's around but she also blames him when he's not around. she just looking for reasons to hate & blame clark. mad annoying it's time for the male characters to give these female the same energy, put them in check telling them about themselves. oh wait their not written to because that's "misogynistic"
No offense to this show but I feel like the CW is using these characters as tokens. They haven’t really had a necessary character arc and have taken a back burner to the rest of the story. Reminds me of Jimmy Olsen all over again on Supergirl who just felt like he was there to be there.
preach!! She was missing for multiple episodes but it was like she wasn't even there. no one even mentioned her name or even talk about the classes she was missing or anything. You know this is very much like many of the WB shows. Kinda like Pete who was supposedly Clark's best friend in Smallville. (yeah right)
@@walter8591 You mean they used pete like a dumb joke in every episode. Somebody who's original in smallvil and doesn't get air time with all the rest of og on talk shows
Wow. She has severe PTSD from events that would put most adults in the hospital, and everyone is bitching about her "attitude". John Henry tried to kill Clark, Natalie was rude. WTAF people. Dont have kids.
All CW shows are woke. They admitted it. It cost them viewership. Supergirl was the worst. Arrow second. Flash wasn’t so bad at first, now I can’t even watch the final season. I watch TV for entertainment. I am old enough to decide my own morals.
BRUH this is so fake if a black man tell his kid that he needs to show some respect and the kid dont follow that comand she is dead lol. good black parents woul slap that bad behavior
