As a Redskins fan, I have to say that this is still one of my favorite all-time Madden moments. I'll never forget him going on that long rant explaining how the blimb is tethered to the stadium. Classic Madden, rambling about something to the point where it becomes comical. He even circles the tethers.
@@mspionage1743 Well, that's who they were lol Warren Moon wasn't a Titans quarterback, he was an Oilers quarterback. We don't rewrite history for any other team. I'm not going to change history just because some people thought a name was insensitive. That was still the name.
The "tethered blimp" was basically the precursor to the now-ubiquitous "drone cams" documenting NFL games these days. Madden probably got a kick out of them, even if they came after he retired from commentating...
Points out the obvious. Madden specialty. The guys gonna score if you don't block. If you throw the ball to other players team it's an interception. Rip sir
Dude... Seriously?!?! How did anyone ever pay him for anything... EVER! And who the hell is giving him this "magic pen" that can just write all over the screen? Da Faq?
They paid him because he's fun and amusing. He says a lot of obvious things out loud, but to be frank, most football announcers do. Very few announcers or players have anything worth saying. Madden typically didn't have anything worth saying, either, but he at least was funny about not having anything worth saying.
