The fact that Kenny Stabler was left out until after his death is a disgrace. He should have been in 25 years ago. Although, I do think it was great how Favre mentioned that at the very first NFL game he attended as a kid, it was Kenny Stabler who inspired him to be a QB. Now, Jerry Kramer and Roger Craig should be next. How does the only guard named to the NFL's all-time 50th anniversary team get left out of Canton? And, how does the greatest all-purpose running back in the history of the game get left out? It is just ridiculous.

As a lifelong Steeler fan, always respected The Snake. He was tough as hell - maybe the only NFL quarterback to consistently give the 70s Steelers a serious run. He should have been in the Hall a long time ago - but good to see.

I’ve been Raiders fan for 50 yrs & I saw every Raiders game. Snake was the best of the 70’s quarterbacks. His end of the game surgical strikes were a thing of beauty & no QB since has had as many “last drive” wins. He should have been in Canton as soon as he was eligible. He called his own plays and got hit every play (because you were allowed to hit QB’s after they threw the ball) but ALWAYS got up. He was tough and a great leader. To bad we don’t have players like that anymore. Snake, you were the best and I’ll always love you

Should have been in along time ago!! Best come from behind quarterback I have ever seen AND could beat those Steelers teams in the 70s. No other quarterback could then. Staubach, Tarkington among others couldn't do it but Stabler could. I truly hope they do find a recording of the 1974 Raiders Dolphins playoff game (Sea of hands game). That was the Snake at his finest! Congrats to family of the Snake as he is finally in and well deserved!

A lifelong Raider fan The snake filled my childhood with joy to be a Raider fan. I loved watching my favorite QB the Snake throw TD Passes to my favorite Raider and the best TE of all time in my opinion Dave Casper!! RIP Snake!!

Ken Stabler, John Madden, and those Raider teams from the 70s captured my imagination and made me a football fan. RIP to these two icons.

A friend of mine, Russell Erxleben used to kick for the New Orleans Saints when Stabler was traded at the end of his career. He said Stabler was a cool cat, party before games but able to show up and get the job done. The coach was none other than Bum Phillips. RIP Snake and Coach Bum.

I loved the Raiders when Stabler played. He was never out of a game. How he pulled out victories out of losses was beyond me. He was incredible at comebacks. I remember finally realizing he could win almost any game. And he was a lefty! And of course, he beat the Vikings in the Super Bowl. Whenever I saw the Raiders down by 10 or even 20 points, I always knew the game wasn’t over. He was exciting to watch! RIP Stabler and Madden- Together again

He deserved to be in the HOF immediately after he finished playing. Finally he’s in! Just Win, Baby! Al Davis said it and Stabler made it happen! He was the greatest comeback player ever! My childhood football hero. I think he had 67% completion percentage one year in the days of downfield throwing, not West Coast offense passing. He just looked so cool and confident on the field. You always had faith that he was going to drive them down the field for a last minute win.

Chiefs fan here for over 40 years and I did then and still do have great respect for Kenny Stabler, John Madden and many of the other Raider greats. Ok that being said annihilated those black and silver beasts!

I grew up in the 1970's when this rivalry was at its height... I loved the Steeler defense...I loved Ken Stabler just as much for his skill and ability to compete with that defense.

Living in Connecticut- I seemingly was the ONLY Raider fan back in the late 1960's and California to me was- Jonny Carson, the Beach Boys & The Raiders! I finally grew older- transferred out to SJSU and right next to Oakland- man, California blondes, motor cycles and The Raider's- I arrived! Thanks- Madden- Balitnikoff- Blanda - Al Davis & K. Stabler!!!!!!!

Should have been inducted when he was alive. He deserved to enjoy this day. Why does the NFL make this mistake over and over. He should have went in over ten years ago. I am not a Raiders fan but when people that are old enough to remember him when they think of the Raiders they think of Ken Stabler.

the Snake was smart, I read where he looked around the league at various opponents and who had the best defensive pass rushers.........then at christmas time he would buy them really nice presents........so they tended to go easy on him........Ed Jones was once being belittled by his coach for gently sacking the snake and Too Tall said......"its the snake, I didnt want to hurt him"......

Life long Chiefs fan here. Growing up, if I saw Kenny Stabler stranded on the side of the road I would have kept driving. That being said; Stabler deserves to be in the HOF!
