I was drinking a load of beer at camp and overheard abigail n jack talking about how shabby jacks clothes were and when i started the conversation i actually got the option to give her some money to buy the boy some new clothes and that was one of the most wholesome things i have seen in the game
@@bigmoist990 Kinda sad how his life went everyone wanted to at least give him a normal life without crime and to turn out like them but in the end he ends up being the last gang member and becomes a outlaw like everyone else
@@HoppingSnake290 I'd love to see how Jack's story goes in the next game, if they ever make one that's about Jack, I don't think they will but I'd love to see it
Well there was that one moment later in the game where she goes on a tangent about how all the guys shouldn’t be mothers; pretty sure she was drunk tho
@@KALSKingdom I know! I love him. I take selfies with him, and talk to him all the time. I want to take him fishing, but I'd have to free Micah, so... Yeah
The fact that she said "Dont waste your life worrying about people who dont care about you" describes John in a way that is accurate, he left for a year, without a care, even for Jack.
Scenes like this are the saddest to me. It's tough because we know John Marston wants to be a good father, but doesn't know how. Not like Arthur, whose... well, you know what happens...
Yeah he brings up that he had a son out of freaking nowhere and for some reasons everyone claims he has the best development ever when he only change after getting tb while john started to change as early as chapter 3 and started doubting dutch way before arthur
@@airforcecadet15 what the hell you're talking about ? I understood the story conpletely, and i was invested in it 100%, try not to assume things you dont you about me, next time
@@slaviclad9705 Yet your comments about arthur mentioning his son for no reason and having no character development contradict your claim. If you paid attention you would know why he mentioned his son. Rains falls was worried about his own son and arthur was opening up to him because of this. And not changing until he had TB? Guess you fell asleep when arthur talked about Sean's death.
@@airforcecadet15 he never mention to anyone that he had a son until he become himself dying at the end, so it seems like its coming out of nowhere and where do you see character development when sean died ? He only says that he was like an annoying little brother to him, yes i know that sean's death was the moment the gang was falling apart slowly, but arthur himself mostly stays the same until he get tb, yeah he is starting to doubt dutch slowly but he still obey him blindly , you arthur fanboys are eerily similar to heather mason fanboys , as soon as someone dares to not worship your beloved character you immediately assume he didnt pay attention to the story or fall asleep like you said
Ngl man, this hit me in the heart. Ik to never mention personal stuff on the internet but my father was never around growing up, whenever i saw these type of encounters with jack I immediately went up to him and Abigail to cheer em up. Insane how a game can pull your emotional strings like that
Arthur's good side (honorable stranger missions, his journal) remind me so much of my late father it really hurts sometimes. I love how complex and full of emotional depth they made this character, really just the consummate American antihero. I love that the writers had the courage to so earnestly write about the human condition, relationships and parenthood. The camp itself is a work of art that could have been it's own little 15 dollar game.
No, she is an absolute odious c*nt that treated John like shit. From the start to the end, nags btches and complains about problems John is trying to solve.
The art of this game is showing how much of the dual morality every individual has in real life can portray. Arthur is a bad, hardened man, if you hear how intimidating he sounds when he's robbing people, or killing them, or intimidating them, etc. But he is also a good man, you can hear when he is caring for Jack, "You got me too, so dry them tears." Love, Loyalty, and doing the right thing are all good qualities that Arthur portrays, but not always do Loyalty and Doing the Right Thing mix. C.S. Lewis talks about the 4 Greek words for Love, the "Brotherly" love is "Phillia." Though that kind of love is part of God's Love, it can lead to the road of damnation, I.E. Al Capone and his Gang, thelma and louise, in Arthur's case, his own Gang. C.S. Lewis writes, "In [Phillia] we may retreat into something better or worse than the public world: It may be a nursery of Martyrs or of Criminals. In real life, friendship can unite by what is still good in them, men otherwise very bad, and thus fortify them in evil." This game is pure art.
@Nguyễn Chu Phú An Alexander Yeah I honestly didn’t like Mary The fact that she has the audacity to ask him for help is really irritating and her saying “Oh Arthur” is even more annoying but nevertheless my Arthur Morgan is a high honor gentleman so I helped her but in the theater I didn’t make a move at all I was completely cold to her throughout the whole show but The best love interest for Arthur is Sadie in my opinion.
@@skollandhati9961 understandable. i mean it was one thing to ask him for help with her brother but her dad (who was the reason their relationship didn't work out btw)? that's just too much
I don't know if you can do this during the 2 prologues or only after they are over, but I had John sitting in his pup tent when I noticed a very distraught look upon his face, then I realized he was likely on the verge of tears. Possibly over Arthur and the gang's past and what not. Has anyone else ever stumbled across this before?
Noooo !!! that scene hit so hard because Arthur is dead Bec of tuberculosis and when he said don’t worry jack im here sad now because he doesn’t have Arthur 💔💔😭
Feel bad for Jack, however I like on how Arthur can roast John Marston saying father of the year while telling John that he should spend time with jack.
Why does this make me tear up? God all the actors were so good, Jack's little "thanks uncle Arthur" just ruined me... it'll be ok son ;-; well like... it won't be... but like please don't be sad
I still don't really believe Jack was John's son because Abigail and John both have black hair while Jack has sandy blonde, the same color as Arthur. And to quote Dutch from RDR 'We all had her. Oh, ho, but he married her!'.
I wish there could have been more random side activities to do with members like jack when events like this happened. Like when jack was crying if arthur could have done something to help jack it would've been nice
I feel like arthur was more of a father figure to jack than jacks own father at one point in time because in the red dead story arthur actually had a son named Isaac that he taught how to fish until one day isaac and his mother were killed in a robbery and no isaacs mother wasnt mary. If you didnt know this look it up
Honestly im surprised abigail didnt have a wtf am i doing with my life moment when dutch leads her and her 4 year old son up a snowy mountain to possibly freeze to death fleeing from the authorities
There’s an encounter where Jack is trying to play with John. He calls John “Pa”. Then John goes “what did you just call me?” and refuses to play with Jack
