This blows my mind. In 1969 I went to a place called the Rose Palace in Pasadena to see Deep Purple, Albert King and the Bluesbreakers in that order. Mick Taylor on his last BB tour before the Stones. No seats, one buck to get in. Every band was superb and when (John remembers) Mick takes off on Parchman Farm we all, as blues fans, were transported to a very fine universe as the Bluesbreakers tore the roof offa the sucka. Concert seating! Sawdust! Weed!

that was long ago Everette for sure, Mayall gave praise to Canned Heat on his Thru the Years recording as the group over here that gave him the break he needed to showcase his music. Have a album of Mayall introducing Mick Taylor when he was 18 years old, first time playing before a live crowd recording doing the blues on song named "Train Time", could hear why he was considered a prodigy. John McVie also was with Bluesbreakers before going on to Fleetwood Mac. Eric Clapton also was with them before going to other venues. "Thru the Years" and "Down the Line" albums had them all together as regulars.

@danielf.markham5980
@danielf.markham5980 6 лет назад
Gibson Girl Junior Wells is a serious racist DICK for doing that to Mick Taylor during C.C. Rider! Where does he come off, being a guest and banging on Mick Taylor's guitar with his harmonica. I guess being a black blues player in America before the civil rights gives you an understandable chip, but that is just low down and unprofessional, boooooooo Junior
@armandodiaz67
@armandodiaz67 4 года назад
That's not cool at all. Seems everyone was trying to get Mick up front. But he's never seemed to look for the spotlight. He always likes being next to his amps. Maybe he can hear himself better there. After trying to push him up front Wells starts banging on his neck. But Mick never skipped a beat. Good for him. King seemed really impressed with Mick. Besides the neck banging, it must have been an incredible night for Mick.
