John Mayer is the most generous and complimentary artist about other artist's work. He's not trying to own music. He's always trying to enhance it. I love it. Love him
I think he's even cooler because he's grown into the humble and down-to-earth man he is now when he used to be more egotistical. It shows that humans can change and grow and they aren't limited by their past.
Very well said. He's extremely generous with everyone, but more importantly, he's extremely honest because he knows music so well. When you understand something so well, it's easy to explain.

Seeing John Acoustic last year was incredible. He was so kind and just sat there and talked about the songs and even started talking about therapy and his parents. It was so amazing.
That's very humble of him to say. You know what I love about John's music is that almost all his songs could only be given justice by him. I haven't really heard a cover of his songs that is as good as how he sings them. It's like he made the song and you just ought to listen.
i remember, i used to listen to heavy and rock stuffs, but when I heard Jack Johnson for the first time, Flake to be specific, all of a sudden I became a laid back guy... wearing slippers, faded t-shirt, and shorts, and always focusing on the simple and most meaningful things about life... for the next 5 to 8 years, I would listen noone but ONLY Jack Johnson, that's the power of his music and lyrics is... it's so deeep and beautiful at the same time.
Same. Been listening to him for a long time. At least 8 years now and it will never get old. I recently saw him in concert back in July or something. It was amazing.
Omg! I love Jack Johnson, he’s always just so chill and happy! I have his cd “In Between Dreams” from when it first came out! It’s funny cuz it just fell out of my cabinet that’s stuffed full of all my favorite cds the other day, I have to organize it better. It’s big but there’s lots of cds in there. I was like oh yeah this was always a good one!

I’ve had people give me shit for loving jack Johnson for 20 years, but there is a beauty in the simplicity of his music. It’s comfy and calming, and has put things into perspective for me in certain moments of my life 😊

I don't listen to Drake or Eminem or any major mainstream rappers who love talking about drugs and promiscuous women in clubs. I like being happy and vibing so I listen to JJ and a little Taylor Swift, and I catch so much hate. Choose being happy, JJ is such a great artist for a reason :)

I tried to play upside down and was completely shocked by how hard it was to play due to his unique strumming. I have watched a lot of videos of him playing that song in different settings and I just can’t match his groove and sing that song at the same time. He really is a great guitar player.

Jack really got me into playing guitar when I was young. I got more into pop punk/alt rock, but it's refreshing to hear Jack when I go a long time without hearing his stuff. He's such a good songwriter. The album with this song was actually the last album of his I listened to.
Jack Johnson is one of if not the most important artist in my life. His song upside down means the world to me. The curious George music video is the last thing I got to share with my grandmother before she died. That song makes me sad, makes me happy it sends me into a depressive spiral and lifts me from the darkest depths of my soul. It touched my heart in a way music these days just cant(for the most part) it's such an important part of me and who I am I can't thank Jack enough for the gift of music he has given me
Never been able to listen to Jack Johnson for more than 30 secs at a time. He probbably is great for everyone who hasn't heard 100 songs like it before.
