I was never a musician that had a "Wish I would have written that song". I always wanted to write my own music. This is the only exeption. I remember hundreds of nights, as a young kid, throwing on headphones to listen to this masterpiece. And now I was looking up concert dates to finally see John live and I learned he died in December... These are the only lyrics ever I wish I had written.
Very sad to here about John's passing such a great talented man. Music was such a fantastic song . Tina's right hand man. Will be very sadly missed. Lots of Love to his family.
Can't believe I have never heard of this song before, I'm 47... Heard it a couple of times on the radio at work and had to Google who it was... absolutely love it, can't stop playing it....RIP John ❣️
Sad to hear of his passing but what a fantastic legacy track to leave behind. Saw him with Tina Turner and solo - always awesome. Music was my first love and it will be my last, music of the future and music of the past........
Just look at that! Utterly amazing! Wish I'd been there! I remember seeing him when I was young..about 14yrs I think.. He played in the local comunity centre...way before he got so famous.. will always love and remember him. Xx RIP wonderful man !!. Xx

What can you say about this track .....the goosebumps with this under rated musical genius , every generation has a piece of music that just does it for you no matter your frame of mind ........this is mine and has been for many years .
